Don't count on a server fix to this. If you are using the PC version, sync your iPad directly to it. That works fine. If you don't have the PC version, then buy it, but make sure the first thing you do is to download your existing online database to it. DO NOT sync your iPad to your PC until you do that! You can also run Windows 10 for free on an Intel Mac using Bootcamp.

I just noticed this odd search behavior when entering a new blu-ray movie, Top Gun, on my iPad. I searched in US by title and it returned nothing. Odd? I searched in ANY and it worked fine, returning US blu-ray titles. I deselected Blu-ray in my US search and it returned DVD titles. At first I thought was an iOS 17 issue, so I used my old iPhone running iOS 12 and the same thing happened. I did the same search on my PC and it worked fine. I also entered the UPC code in a US search on my iPad and it worked fine.
I guess the point here for iOS users is to try different things if your title search returns nothing. Searching by UPC seems to be the most reliable.

This is all well and good but has nothing to add to this discussion. We are discussing alternatives to DVD Profiler. While writing your own code is commendable, it has no practical use to anyone else since it is not available to others.
Let's be real here. We need to figure out what is best to do considering DVD Profiler is no longer being actively supported, especially when it comes to iOS users. Writing your own code is not a realistic option to the vast majority of users.

Whatever you do, DON'T DELETE YOUR ONLINE DATABASE.  Even if it is outdated, will need it if you ever switch to the PC version. After a new install of DVD Profiler on your PC, I strongly recommend you download your online database to your PC before you first sync to your iPad. Otherwise you run the risk of losing your data.

I tried to recreate your problem. I created a new empty database on my PC and then synced it to an existing full database on my iPad. Sadly, it deleted the entire database on my iPad. While this doesn't explain your 360 issue it does confirm GSyren's hypothesis. I think your fatal error was deleting your online database. I suspect if you had downloaded it to your PC, even though it was out of date, and then synced to your iPhone, it would have updated properly. I don't know what you can do at this time. If I think of anything, I'll let you know.
Since it does seem to be a date stamp issue, my comment on the other thread about setting the clock back on your PC might be worth a try.

I'm not a Windows person, so I don't know if this will work or what effect it will have on your system, but it may be worth a try. I'm assuming the issue is the date stamp on the PC database files. We did things like this preparing for Y2K. Uninstall DVD Profiler from your PC making sure to delete its database files. Disconnect from the internet. Then reset your PC clock back a few years, reinstall DVD Profiler and try syncing again. If it works you can then reconnect and set your clock correctly.

Here's something to try. Upload from your older iPad to the online database. It may say it failed, but it may still upload. Then try downloading to the PC and see what happens. If it downloads something to your PC, run the database repair tool.

GSyren, your explanation makes no sense. If the initial sync went from a blank PC, as he states, to his full iPhone, his iPhone would be empty as well, not showing 360 items. Something else must be going on.

dvdbloke2206, Were the 360 items added to your iPhone AFTER you installed DVD Profiler on your PC? If so, they would have a newer date stamp than the PC database and GSyren's explanation might hold.

In DVD Profiler on your PC go to File:Synchronize with DVD Profiler Mobile and follow the directions.
Then on your mobile device go to Databases on the bottom right and then hit + on the top right and follow the directions

For what it's worth, iOS users have been having the same problem since the new server was installed a year ago. Don't expect a fix. Your best bet is to sync directly to the PC version. That works fine in iOS.

You can also use the online database to sync between the two. While back/up restore is a more complete method, online syncing is a lot quicker. I use a backup to establish the database on the new PC and then use online syncing to update it.

On an unrelated note, I wish the Invelos server gurus would get rid of this recent infestation of SPAM.

I suspect uploading to the online database is still not working in iOS 18. This seems to be a new server issue and probably will never get fixed. That's why you need to sync directly to your PC.
