I just added another DVD that's a bonus disc with a CD.  This is of Mozart's Idomeneo conducted by René Jacobs.  It comes in a box with a digipak with the opera on 3 CDs, a booklet with the libretto, another booklet about René Jacobs, and a DVD in its own custom sleeve with a documentary about the making of the album.

Should I use the custom sleeve as the cover, or should I use the front and back of the box, since that's the part with the UPC, the DVD not being labeled for separate sale?

A Google Search shows multiple images of the Cult Opera of the 1970s boxed set from several angles.  If I interpret "Front cover" and "back cover" strictly, it (at least the front cover) would look like the Amazon photo, but to me that looks a bit misleading.

I'm frequently getting this.  I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do because hitting refresh doesn't change anything.  Opening it in a new tab or window doesn't help either because I still get the same message.

I still haven't scanned Cult Opera of the 1970s.  This one has 11 DVDs in 10 keep cases (one of the operas in long enough to need two discs), so the front and back are quite small compared to the side, and the DVD spines line up to make the title, and the main color of the spine on each is different.  The packaging kind of overstates the psychedelic nature of the productions, and also emphasizes that these are some of the earliest color television broadcasts of operas (many of which, such as Wozzeck, were not recordings of theatrical productions but done on film  sets and locations).

I'm not really sure how I should approach scanning the box since I can include only front and back covers.

I also have two DVD games here, 027084450422 (Movie Scene It? 2nd Edition and 076930404669 (Trivial Pursuit DVD Pop Culture). Do we include DVD games? And these are larger than my scanner, so how to show the image?

What do we do in cases where the same UPC is sold with and without a slip case, and the cover image and the slipcase differ?  In my collection, this is true for a number title of including Office Space Special Edition with Flair (which came with a Christmas gift slipcover and was, in fact a gift), Starry Eyes, and The Hallow, and I am sure that there are other examples.

I'm being prevented from correcting Mary Ann Meets the Gravediggers and Other Short Stories by Regina Spektor.  There are several typos in the original submission, and this release was intended for sale in the UK (I bought it at a thrift shop in New York City and didn't initially realize), but I erroneously submitted it as U.S.  It's telling me that I can't make the change because items with U.S. locality should be NTSC, and it was correctly submitted as PAL.

First it was A Unicorn Adventure missing the crew, now it's OzLand missing the cast.

In those cases, it was on the original packaging.  A lot of these Dollar Tree DVDs have the same UPCs, and many that don't do have stickers.

I'm trying to follow directions for these alternates with different UPCs, but perhaps I didn't.

Today at Dollar Tree, I bought, Stockholm (828706545362) but can't add it because I noted that my copy of The League of Legend Keepers that I bought the other day also has that UPC number.  I thought I submitted that alternate correctly, but apparently not, because it's telling me that I already own Stockholm.

Others I bought today
Split infinity (8278706545423) Questar (This is actually a film I already own on VHS and was not aware had been released on DVD.)
Entanglement (82706545324) Dark Star
Visioneers (828706545423) Viva (I think this is the first Viva release I've bought that wasn't a children's film. I'd never heard of the company before I started buying DVDs from Dollar Tree.)

The first of those two films was released by ITN, not Questar.  Most Dollar Tree DVDs have similar UPCs on a sticker over the original UPC. Questar has been around since VHS days.  If they were an illegal outfit, they wouldn't  be operating continuously under the same name since the 1980s.

I was unable to add these two titles, which both have the UPC 828706545423, which I was told is not valid:

Teen Star Academy (2016) directed by Cristian Scardign, starring John Savage, Blanca Blanco, Adriana Volpe, Youma Daikite, Bret Roberts.  Written by Francesco Malavenda, music by Dr. Felix, edited by Luna Gualano. Distributed by Premiere Entertainment/ITN.

The Toy Castle: Dance for Joy: 12 Uplifting Ballet Stories performed by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (2006), Sound Venture Productions Ottawa. Distributed by Questar Inc.http://www.invelos.com/images/Buttons/SubmitVL.png

I can scan these, but I haven't yet.

I added the credits from the back cover, but only one of them, creative director, remains.  It seemed to me that someone was suspicious of them because Satyajit Ray, who died in 1992, has story credit.

It's not my intention to add pirated discs.

Added complete cast credits for OzLand (2014). Crew credits are complete except for production assistants and special thanks.

That didn't work.  Because my edition shares a UPC with another film (A.M.I.: Artificial Machine Intelligence), the data was replaced with the data for that film.

Like I said, everything was identical except the UPC. The instructions provided here effectively discorrected the entry.

Download the profile that looks identical to yours and the select the profile.

1. From the menu bar, go to DVD -> Change UPC / Locality
2. From the Change UPC / Locality popup window, under New ID -> change the UPC field to match your UPC.
3. Click on the arrow button on the right side of the window, this will expand the window with more options.
4. Select the "Create New Alternate Version" option and click the OK button.

In this case, I wasn't able to do it:

It was right for a while.  Now it's showing that I own A.M.I., which I don't.  A lot of the Dollar Tree DVDs have that UPC on a sticker over the original, while others have it printed on.  It should also be noted that many of these are maid by the same company, which might explain why they're in the same store with the same UPC.

I looked on Lasada and eBay--nothing.

I boycott Amazon, but even at that, they had only downloads.  Not with my hard drive.

All I have to say is that Nollywood movies are usually made by amateurs who run successful electronics stores in Lagos.

I went to the place many years ago.  They were basically a hole-in-the wall DVD shop that went out of business when streaming became popular.

This particular UPC has multiple titles to it.

I was able to add one to my collection as a alternate:
Monkey King: Hero Is Back

The initial title associated with this UPC is
A.M.I.: Artificial Machine Intelligence.

I'm attempting to add a third title, Pagan Warrior, but it's showing that I own both (A.M.I. is not in my collection either in real life or on DVD Profiler) and is not allowing me to add a third.

Googling that number brings up numerous DVDs, many of which are sold at Dollar Tree:
The Aviators
The Easter Egg Adventure
The Girl in the Crawlspace
How to Train Your Dragon Trilogy
Krampus: The Christmas Devil
The Magic Kids (which I also own)
Ouija: The Resurrection
Ouija: The Summoning
SpyCat
Tall Tales

As well as other items that are not DVDs including balms, fiberoptic devices, and window blinds.

Another reused UPC is  828706545188, which is the UP of at least two Dollar Tree DVDs I purchased, The Perfect Trap and Windstorm.

How would I go about adding titles to my wish list that are not in the database when I don't have a lot of information about them?

For example, I found these Filipino DVDs I want at an online store in Pakistan.  I'm not buying them from here because a) they jacked up the prices since I last visited (all but one were under $10 a year ago), and b) the shipping to the United States is over $150.  If I knew things like the UPC, they would probably be easier to find...

Because you don't take them without a UPC.
