| Posted: | | | | As you know, I use DVDProfiler almost every day, and I watch my movies using LoadDVDPro. All of a sudden the program freezes just as it finishes loading. I have an image that displays for each movie in the Notes section. When the program loads, that image is displayed for just a second, but then disappears, and locks everything up. If I uninstall LoadDVD, everything else works perfectly - including the images (but of course I can't play my movies.)
As far as I know nothing has changed since we changed the 4747 address … another oddity is that I never quit getting that 4747 error. I thought it had gone away, but it soon returned, but that was weeks ago. Now it is NOT appearing. (I changed it to several different addresses but nothing worked. I changed it back to 4747 just after we talked just for continuity.)
This has been working with the images for several years, and I have nearly 5000 loaded, so I sure don't want to lose them. Any ideas?
I am on Windows 10 running LoadDVDPro version 2.87. |

| Posted: | | | | I assume you are talking to me? (your comment - "just after we talked"). Don't know why you didn't send to my personal email, as you usually do, or post in the LoadDVD thread. Anyway, luckily I noticed this post.
4747 is the default port used for LoadDVD automation. I have code that attempts to set the firewall port forwarding so that the user doesn't have to do it. When it fails, you get a message to contact the author.
Just ignore the message, since you are not using the automation engine between multiple PCs. I am getting a new version of the message also, so fixing it is already on my list (if I can fix it - Microsoft has obviously changed something internally).
Oh wait ... I just reread you note and I missed the fact that you are getting locked up. The message you are seeing is a DVD Profiler temporary message designed to appear briefly and disappear. That is not the reason for your lockup. Send me an email (or PM), as usual, showing me the LoadDVD commands being used and a screen shot of the options panel. | | | Thanks for your support.
