Well, I got this issue for a while and never mentioned it:
If I want to add data from other profiles to one with more contents, I create a new devider in cast & crew, copy the data from the original profiles and use "past & append data"
In cast it is never a problem that the new data appears under the divider, but in crew it is always on top, and sometimes it is horrible to move down 20 or more crew-members
Is there anything I can do myself to avoid those troubles or do I need to place a request for a "technical change" for the next version of DVDProfiler?
Thankx in advance for the help

Are there dividers in the film credits?

Just Copy and Paste...
Don't confuse while the film is playing with when the film is played. [Ken Cole, DVD Profiler Architect]

I was under the impression that this problem was fixed in v3.9?

Try this old Workaround for "Paste and Append Crew"-problem

No! I create the dividers in the new profile!
For example:
I get a disc set with 3 discs, 3 movies on each disc. 4 of those 9 movies I already have, for the rest I download single profiles to avoid reading and typing.
Then in the new profile I "add divider", copy the data from the single profile and use "paste & append data" - in cast it runs without problems, in crew it's alway on top

Not solved in version 3.9

ah, the problem seems to be "single profile". Paste&Append for Crew works only when the crew already is under a divider. (Don't ask me why)
And even that is only since v3.9

So you either have to place them under a divider in the source profile before copying or have a look at the link I provided and do it in text.

The Freestyle Cast/Crew Edit plugin can help with this.

Please keep in mind that if you are creating profiles as in your example, they should not be submitted to the online. Alternate Versions (Variants) should be use to create a profile for each movie for online submission.

If it is a new profile with 3 movie on one disc, then it's one profile for 3 movies - has always been and will always be, I think so

No... every film gets it's own profile now. Been that way since the latest update introducing Alternate versions.

Nope, that is a clear case for Alternate Version, see the Contribution Rules on this point.

Well, I didn't recognize this (confusing) change of the rules. Does this mean that e. g. the three child profiles of 4260118670632 (three discs, each three movies on it) should get 9 new profiles? (only for a better understanding)
If yes: This might become a huge job if I have several discs with more than one movie on it :-(

It should be a total of 10 profiles...

Parent Profile
- Movie #1
- Movie #2
- Movie #3
- Movie #4
- Movie #5
- Movie #6
- Movie #7
- Movie #8
- Movie #9

There will be no profile per disc... just main release (parent) profile and then one for each movie.

This sounds like a lot of work. Especially if I think about the counts
And: Is this the same for TV-Series now? One profile for every episode?

Not every episode... but it can go down to every disc. Ken didn't want profiles per episode or shorts.
