Anyone know why Arrow: The Complete Second Season, the 4 BD only version, is not in the database? I've run into problems before where a version of a title with the right info is available, but not with the same UPC as mine - and I could never find a way to simply edit the UPC to add a version to the database. But, in this case, there's only one 4 BD only version listed - with a truly bizarre cover. Perhaps it's an import, I don't know. The pose is similar to the French release, but the face is all wrong.

The WB version I have has the following UPC : 883929422609. It's listed on BRDC, Amazon, etc. It's the 4 BD only version and the front cover being used here on an entry labeled "Disc 3". Could someone look into this and perhaps add it? I'd take the weird looking one and copy over the right picture, but I can't figure out how to edit the UPC. There seems to be no entry for it although there has to be one, right?

To change a UPC, click on DVD on the toolbar, click on Change UPC/Locality. Enter the new UPC in the NEW ID section.

Just edit the profile to match this blu-ray set and contribute it.

Okay, CubbyUps, thanks for the tip.

I took the existing 9-disc BD/DVD version, changed the UPC, copied the correct cover, scanned in the correct back cover and deleted the 5 DVD discs. I did NOT update or change any cast or crew.

Problems I could use help with/advice on :

1)This way, each disc has its own page - with back-front cover pix. In reality, all four discs are in a tray and only the box and the case have pix. The only reason I'm confused is that the BD-only Season One has no separate "pages" (no expanding +). It simply has the cover and lists 4 discs on the "discs" page. So I'm not sure which is the preferred way to list these sets.

2)The existing front cover for the 9-disc BD/DVD release is a Photoshopped joke (check the face). It does not correspond to any domestic or foreign release I can find. I'm not sure how to correct the front cover without downloading it and rescanning a new front cover. However, as I don't own that version, I can't be sure of having the right cover to scan. If someone has that set, please upload a corrected cover.

In any case, this gets the 4-disc version into the database and folks can then improve it as needed.

Sounds like you're talking about disc level children. They are optional for tv series.

Well, most covers are photoshopped nowdays. As far as what's correct for your specific set. The best way is to scan it yourself. If you don't have a scanner there are sites that do show these, but you can't contribute anything that's watermarked.

CubbyUps : Children, yes. Actual cover, I don’t “think” so; but you’d have to look and see fer yerself.

DJ Doena : There’s only a couple of Season 2 sets in the db. I had to download the thing to get the UPC:

883929435869

In my earlier post, I linked to BRDC. While I can’t know if they list every country, they usually list most. The pose and the background are similar to/taken from the US Best Buy Exclusive version, but the face and figure are totally changed.

EDIT:
I kept looking into this and the listing is wrong elsewhere as well. When you search by title, it's listed as Blu-ray (prob because the cover was marked as Blu-ray), but the "children" are the 5 DVDs. The cover picture, however, has the upper banner of the 9-disc BD/DVD combo set - and, again, the picture of Arrow with a hockey mask on is just wrong. So, I cancelled my planned sub of the proper cover pending more informed heads deciding if the whole listing has to be deleted or simply fixed.

So do you have the Best Buy exclusive or is it some other set?

I looked up the UPC# that you just gave and it points to the Best Buy exclusive.

I see what you mean by a hockey mask, this looks like a lenticular cover. These are sometimes very difficult to scan. Sometimes you get overlapping images. That looks like what is seen here.

Does the upc #883929435869 match what is downloadable and the one that you own?

No, I have the regular mass-released 4-BD set which wasn't in the db but I uploaded an entry this morning [883929422609] - pending voting approval.

But you're right about lenticular, that escaped me. Also, as Best Buy currently lists no special versions for Season 2, I was stopped there. However, I searched on eBay and found two BB lenticular's for sale. So, it's a "real", if distorted, picture - but the listing still needs to be fixed because it is a 9-disc BD/DVD set and there are only 5 DVD "children" attached to the listing. I could use my BD discs to "add on" as it appears all of the BDs have the same disc #, but I think I'll leave that for one of you more experienced hands. Once/if ( ) my listing gets approved, we'll at least have both main versions listed - at least I think the standard 9-disc with the correct cover is listed.

It's a lenticular cover (a "shaker cover"). Found this on ebay:

@Memphis: box set children should never be added by someone that doesn't own that particular set. Because you can never know if your discs are the very same that are actually in that set. It's very likely but you can't know for sure.

I was asking for the UPC because I also own a US version of the BD/DVD S2 season set. But mine is 883929-373451.

As I said, not adding the BDs - but as you can see from the site cover and the one on eBay, the set should include the BDs and someone should fix it. Also, my discs have the same ID as the discs in the BDs from the set I used as a model - I checked each one. All the US BDs are the same as no-one offered any exclusive content. But, as I said ...

As fer eBay, I beat yer post by 2 minutes.
Anyway, thanks for the help. I would update the BRDC page, but right now I can't "prove" that BB didn't have two exclusives - one with a regular cover & one with a lenticular (although that isn't the way they do exclusives).

Actually, there's no dash in your UPC (did you add it for a reason?). You got a digital code with yours, lucky. I ordered mine too quickly. I didn't want the coasters making the package big but I didn't see that the BD only version came without a code. Heck, the 9-disc was even cheaper.

Since this has been released several ways, at least three different sets there is a good chance that the blu-ray children maybe attached to another set. Also some people don't have a bd drive on their computer, so can't read the disc ids.
Since the artwork is very different on the one you posted the blu-ray children could be entered via the alternate version method.
