I've been playing around with the new PowerBI capabilities from Microsoft (full disclosure, I work there), and I was able to built a pretty cool interactive Dashboard using DVDProfiler data using Mark's CSV export plug-in.

Here's a screenshot of my Dashboard.
There's more than I can just show from a screenshot, but I wanted to show off something I built in less than a few hours.

For the record, I'm not in sales, I don't work for the product group. I work in IT, and I support teams that use this service.

I just wanted to share this with my fellow DVD enthusiasts who may also be data nerds.

That's extremely cool! I love it!
Get the CSVExport and Database Query plug-ins here.
Create fake parent profiles to organize your collection.

Technically, Power Query (used for ETL) supports using XML as a data source, and I was able to get it to successfully read the XML export from DVDProfiler, but the way I would have had to restructure the data to get the model built properly would have been a lot more effort than just using a flat table view.

We're exploring PowerBI addoption at my company. Its worth noting that not only is the image provided by Leiterfluid quick to produce, interactive (click on once of the columns and the other graphs / charts will update to show the contribution of the selected element only), but the new PowerBI Designer is free for many uses (i.e. you're not wanting to publish it for lots of people to use).

Worthy of exploration.
This is a sig... ... ... yay...

Don't understand? Maybe DVDProfilerWiki.org does!
