... that may not bother many in here, but it does bother me.

What I am speaking about is when you have a box set, you do not list the cast. What I do not like about this is that I sometimes like to look at an actor in a certain film and see what other movies I have that they are in. Without the cast in the description, you do not know about the other films they are in.

I know this may seem petty to some, but sometimes I forget all the movies a certain actor is in and this would help refresh my memory.

Is there something I am missing here? Is there a way around this?

The cast are there. It's just that they are in the child profiles. The boxset is just a holder to group a load of related profiles together. Download the child profiles and then add them to the boxset.

A parent profile is what the profile is called that details the "box". A child profile is what the profile is called that details a movie that comes with the box.

I see that you have the Indiana Jones and Back to the Future parent profiles in your database, but you don't have the child profiles for the individual movies.

Child profiles are entered either by UPC (if they have one) or by Disc ID (if they don't). Both of those sets have Disc ID profiles for the individual films.

You can insert each disc into your computer and go into the Add DVD dialog box. Go to the Disc ID tab and it will read the disc and show the corresponding profile to download.

Probably an easier way is to just look up each film by title. Download all of the profiles for each of the movies.

Then, for instance, open up the Indiana Jones parent profile and go to the box set contents. Add the Indiana Jones titles. After you've saved it, you'll see all of the child profiles attached to the parent profile. Those child profiles contain the cast for each film. That will give you the actor information you're looking for.

That's a brief overview. If you need more assistance, just let me know.

You are registered at Intervocative since 2001 (longer than myself and many forum regulars), you have nearly 600 posts there and you really want to tell us you have never heard about child profiles ?

Well, in real life I am, Micha - you'd be surprised if you knew me in person.

In forums (especially the German profiler forum) however, I have the habit of articulating my opinion quite clearly. Sometimes this is simply necessary.
