| Posted: | | | | There are some short series or TV-Series not using own titles for their episodes but "Episode 1" and so on.
Now my question: how should the rules be applied for editions in foreign countries? I mean profiles just released for a single country…
Descriptions in Episode dividers: for example: if a title is really credited as “Partie 1” in France, or “Secuencia 1” in Spain, or “Teil 1” in Germany do we use there as per rules the english version “Episode 1”, or is it perfect to use the local version?
I ask that because there is someone who explains, that the use of those local descriptions of those titles are not a real title ... therefore he wants to get the english version as per rules... but i think, by using common sence that the local version would be correct...
So what is correct? Can you tell me, please? | | | Last edited: by LKanne |

| Posted: | | | | The reason we have localities is so we can have localized profiles so it seems only logical to use the local title if it is used in the actual episode. Besides, i can't find any rule that says the title has to be in English, but I found this which might suggest intent in such cases: "If the title appears in multiple languages, use the title that matches the language of the locality and do not include an alternate title ( for instance in another language)." | | | First registered: February 15, 2002 |

Rules at TV Series -> Credits: Enter the episode number and title in the divider that marks the beginning of that episode's credit list. The divider should be formatted as "1. Episode Title", or "Episode 1" if no title is available. |

You would use the equivalent word for the locality. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand. The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though it take a thousand years, we will be free. - Citizen G'Kar |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting LKanne, who's quoting the rules: Quote: The divider should be formatted as "1. Episode Title", or "Episode 1" if no title is available. This. I personally apply that to profiles from every locality (although most of the TV episodes I own have titles, in which case it's thankfully not an issue). | | | Last edited: by T!M |
