I'm a UK user and have noticed when editing profiles online they listed Child Profiles with Disc IDs not showing on my version. Also there is no option to highlight "Check For Child Profiles" on my local database??

I've had this problem both with the US blu ray sets of "The Office - Season Seven" and "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season Six".

Can anyone confirm what the issue is?

Can you select the profile and use Ctrl-F12 to check for child profiles? They may have been added after you originally added the profile to your collection.

If that doesn't work for some reason, you should find the option under:

Online -> Refresh DVD From Invelos -> Check for Child Profiles...

Make sure you have selected the appropriate profile in the Collection List, if there isn't one selected I think it doesn't show the option.

If it still isn't there try reloading the default Layout (View -> Load Layout... and pick the the default one)
It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong

Picking on The Office Marx is right, despite the change contribution screen clearly showing child profiles under disc id they aren't shown in the add by title screen. Ctrl F12 just states there are no child profiles assocaited with it.

The one other thing I've picked up is the child profile ids show up in a funky way.

If I just download profile and submit a change the only change it picks up on the contribution screen is cast (a difference in birth years for one of the cast members). It doesn't show the boxset section at all.

However if I change genre then it picks up that change and also gives me the option of submitting a change to the boxset content, i.e. remove the disc ids that are (sort of) associated with it.

One possible reason I can think of is somebody deleted the child profiles from the database for some reason, maybe they were submitted under an incorrect locality and they haven't been removed from the parent profile, but as we can't add the child profiles it's impossible to tell.

Bottom line is that you need to raise a support ticket (under the support header at the top of the forum) to get the behaviour looked at.

PS don't want to sound nasty, but you don't need to type forum topics in caps, standard capitalisation is fine

Thanks for all your help guys!

I shall raise a support ticket now you've both confirmed there IS a problem; these two are the only profiles I've discovered with this issue...so far....

There is a lot of deleting going on in the main database for seemingly no reason which irritates me. People would seemingly rather delete something than correct it for some reason!

Thanks again.

PS - I think caps for subject headings neater.Caps for subject; standard text for body of text :-)

Just so you know... Netiquette shows all caps as rather rude... See here

It is proper netiquette to refrain from using all capital letters in internet correspondence. All capital letters denote shouting in internet communication. Shouting at other users is not acceptable.

So I would really refrain from doing so if you don't wish to offend.

I think it just makes it harder to read, and it looks rather ugly (at least with my standard font).
