I have switched off several of my titles Media Banner. The profile is then marked as changed. I contribute the change, but someone voted it down because they say it is only a local option. Why then is the profile marked as changed if it is not supposed to be contributed?

The Media Banner switch is within "Edit Profile", and triggers "Changes made", which it shouldn't.

The Media Banner switch should be within Options, or Personalize. And the Media Banner switch definitely should not recompress existing images. (*)

(*) Does Profiler still do this?

Invelos sets the covers to "automatic" which does indeed compress the images.

If you want to manually change an individual profile you need to Edit that DVD.

There are several ways to do so:
- Double click on the title
- On the top of profiler, click on DVD > Edit
- Click on the 4th icon from the left (top of the page directly under File  Collection DVD etc.)

After you get to the Edit page, click on Cover Scans. Media banner is near the top. Click on the option you prefer. Off is the option you want if you don't want your images compressed.

Once you are done, the program does read this as a change.

You need to refresh BOTH the Profile and Images afterward. If you don't - the Contribute icon remains highlighted.

A warning pops up that you have changed the profile. Hit Yes - the change you made to the Media Banner will remain in effect even though you are refreshing the profile and images.

As long as you are using the default Double-Click setting.

Switching the Media Banner to Off also recompresses your existing front image, lossy, eg from 198.133 to 75.270 bytes. You then have to Refresh the image to get the original quality back from the online database.

I wasn't responding to a post about image quality, I was responding to the post that said you had to refresh in order to get rid of the highlighted Contribute icon.
