| Posted: | | | | I run a weekly auto backup of the data on my computer. I want to add my DVD Profiler data to that backup. Which files or folders should I include so I will have an off-site back up of all of my data.
I know that I can run the backup process in the software via File > Backup Database but I just want it to be an automatic process in case I forget to do the "manual" backup process.
Any suggestions? |

| Posted: | | | | If your automated Backup includes your "My Documents"-folder no further action needs to be taken. Provided, of course, that you didn't move your database to another location (e.g. external HDD). In this case you'd need to include this path to your Backup program. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Unless you switched from the Default database your files are located in
<My Documents>\DVD Profiler\Databases\Default
You can check this by opening in DVDP: File -> Open Database
This backups your database.
If you use credit photos and/or scene photos you can find the folders to them uder Tools -> Options -> File Folders | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

The data-location was already mentioned, but if you want to nerd out, read this thread for a batch-file that would make a backup that you could then include into your backup. cya, Mithi | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki | | | Last edited: by Mithi |
