Sorry for the screaming, but you screamed first (It's considered impolite to write in all-caps on the net).
Seriously though, I doubt there' ever going to be a MacOS version of this program. The user-base would simply be to small.
Creating an iOS (iPhone, iPad) version made sense because these devices sell like pot on a Bob Marley revival.
But MacOS? Sorry, not enough man-power on Invelos' side. They haven't even released an Android version yet. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Of course for most of those years Ken didn't own a Mac. That has obviously changed. And developing for OS X is, as far as I know, fairly similar to developing for iOS. Both operating systems are closely related. What didn't change in the last twelve years is the ability to clone Ken. A Mac version is possible, but I wouldn't expect one anytime soon. With the already promised Android version, I'm afraid Ken will be insanely busy to get the program running on all the different devices.
Buddy, if you still have a Windows license, get Parallels or another virtualisation software to run Windows on your Mac. Or you could try Crossover or Wine to run DVDP. |

| Posted: | | | | Use Profiler for the PC and a competitor for your Mac. I use Profiler for PC and now use a competitor for android. As much as others will hate the truth, competing software is catching up - and they offer linking cast, multiple covers, android, mac, helpful owners/staff who actually respond to queries and have a decent presence. Profiler is still my favourite by far though... |

You, in general not you specifically, can't expect the same things from a single person as you can from a staff of people...well, you can but, in my opinion, it would be an unreasonable expectation. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I agree with that. It's a shame, but true. However, I would counter argue that they are usually volunteers of the program used. It would be like having actual screeners here (volunteer users that meet Ken's criteria) rather than just Ken/Gerri. Like I said, Profiler is still the best for my needs, and when an android version does hit, I'll be a day 1 buyer. Unfortunately, Profiler is at the risk of being left behind in some respects. Thankfully, the large number of non-R1 titles is probably one of the main plus points Profiler has over competitors - at least for us with large non-R1 collections. | | | Last edited: by samuelrichardscott |

I previously used VMWare Fusion and Parallels. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I too am waiting for a Mac version as well as an Android version. In the interim I have found a post on here about Wineskin that works well on my iMac running Mountain Lion. Do a search and give it a try. I have tried other products but still come back to DVDP. However at some point there will be product that will fill all the needs and then people will migrate away from DVDP. I understand the one man show analogy but if you have release a IOS version why not an Android version? Currently the market share between IOS and Android is narrowing quickly with predictions that Android will overtake IOS sometime next year. I have noticed in various message boards and such people are starting to boycott software developers that cater only to Apple. To the average person and outlay of 400 dollars or more is a major purchase and with the price of Android tablets severely undercutting the iPad developers need to appeal to the masses and develop all platforms. To discriminate against a particular OS is just plain bad business and narrows your marketability. |

| Posted: | | | | verdejt, Ken already mentioned that he will release an Android beta after the next version of the iOS app. I hope he knows what he is doing. Developing for Android takes much more time due to all the vastly different devices and Android users just don't spend as much money on apps. And both of those factors are probably the reason why so many developers release their products on iOS first. |

| Posted: | | | | OK, now tell me One, yes only One, that allows you to develop your own Plugins for it, thus extending the functionality. You will find that most others will add feature on request, but possibly charge a Yearly, or Major upgrade, renewal fee for these extra bells and Whistles. | | | Last edited: by specise_8472 |

| Posted: | | | | Ken must have (access to) a mac, because you need a mac when writing IOS software.
I have bought and used both the PC and mobile version in the past. Now I've switched to mac and iPad/iPhone. DVD profiler on my iPad/ iPhone is great, but to have access to DVD-profiler on my mac (without any emulators) would be even better.
Ken has done a good job and my compliments for that, but if he hasn't got time for a mac version, so be it. |
