| Posted: | | | | I've searched the forums and can't see any topics that have the same problem I'm experiencing (if there are I apologise).
I recently updated my DVD collection and now the cast and crew information from every DVD I own have been deleted. Checked my online profiler and they're missing from there too. Everything else is there.
Never experienced this before and it's not a huge problem, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows how tro rectify it?
Thanks |

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried a database repair yet? I do this every Sunday and any time something isn't working right.
On the top of your program go to: Tools > Options > Utilities > Repair Profile Database. |

On the top of your program go to: Tools > Options > Utilities > Repair Profile Database. Hi Kathy, I should have put that in my orginal post. First thing I tried after checking my list online |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not at all computer savvy so I can only offer tips that I've used - hopefully one will work. Or, someone else can offer better advice.
Have you refreshed the profiles?
I'm not sure why the online database would be affected - that seems really strange to me.
Do you have a backup of your database? |

| Posted: | | | | Stupidly, as soon as I added my latest DVDs I backed up the database and overwrote my backup I tried a restore but it's still the same I don't understand how they just disappeared, I haven't changed any settings. The first time I noticed it was when I installed DVD Profiler on my Windows 7 64-bit pc and thought it was soemthing do with that but now it's happened on my Windows 7 32-bit laptop. I may have an old backup which if works would mean having to re-add quite a few DVDs but if that's what I have to do then so be it but hoping there's another way |

| Posted: | | | | Have you tried to open a new database? Once you do, you should be able to download the collection and that should contain everything. | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

| Posted: | | | | Charlie,
Is there a way I can do all my DVDs in one go or do I have to do them one by one?
Like most people here I have a lot in my collection and doing it one by one will take ages |

Choose Collection -> Flagged -> Refresh Thanks for that. Went through the different menus and found it. Was waiting until it finished before posting again. Few profiles have failed but I'll do them again Never used DVD Profiler except to store my DVDs so about time I actually started to use it more |

Choose Collection -> Flagged -> Refresh Managed to get all cast and crew back for all DVDs except 12 For some reason I had to delete these from my collection and re-add them |

Next time something like this happens try a database repair first. This usually fixes the problem with profiles which are unwilling to update. I repaired the database before I refreshed all the profiles. It was the first thing I tried when I noticed all the cast and crew had been deleted and Kathy suggested the same thing in her post |
