I know I am putting this post up a week early... but I figured I may as well get it up and ready.

With Halloween being my all-time favorite holiday... I like to celebrate it all month long. So every year at this time I have a month long horror / Halloween marathon. Every year I try to beat my record of most horror movies,  horror or Halloween episodes of TV Series and now Others (Shorts/Documentaries) as well. The best I ever done was 2 years when I watched 103 Movies, 55 TV Show Episodes & 5 Other. Will I be able to beat my best record... I am almost positive I won't. I already know that I will not have the time to put to it this year like I did last. But that is ok... as I plan to give it my all whether it is a win, loose or a draw! And no matter what happens I am going to have a great time!

My Goal:
Movies: 104
TV Eps: 56
Other: 6

I just checked my horror collection. As of the last purchase I made earlier this month.... I now have 1,039 horror films I could watch. And that is movies alone. Not including my TV Series, documentaries or shorts.

Note that the above is no more then a template... not an actual review. I think more of Lost Boys then a lousy 1.5 rating!

I added some color with the Maroon font... and changed the stars to skulls and crossbones. Plus I added a count at the bottom to see how close I get to my goal for this year.

Thoughts?

Like the skulls-appropriate for Halloween. Like the Maroon-kind of blood like.

My Thoughts:

Just finished watching the first film in the marathon! I been looking forward to watching this one... as I have become a fan of Elisha Cuthbert every since seeing the TV Series 24 for the first time. I enjoyed this film quite a bit. Though it does go with a few too many horror movie cliches. It didn't take me long to pretty much have the entire film figured out. But I still enjoyed myself watching it all unfold. There is 2 alternate endings on this DVD... but I think they went with the best one for the movie. Over-all a pretty good start to the marathon!

My Thoughts:

I first saw this movie when my brother got it at Netflix, and I remembered enjoying it for the most part. So I recently grabbed myself a copy. Watching it the second time around... I think I enjoyed it a little more then I did the first time. This film does what all good remakes do. They kept enough of the storyline the same to pay homage to the original... while changing enough to make it it's own film and keep your attention. But I must admit... I did not care for what they did to the Peter Vincent character. Making him a Criss Angel wannabe magician. But other then that... I found it to be a very good film in it's own right. I feel comfortable recommending this one.

Title: Bones: Season Three: Mummy in the Maze
With Halloween rapidly approaching, the mummified remains of two young girls lead the team through a twisted maze of creepy clues.

Stars:
David Boreanaz as Agent Seeley Booth
Emily Deschanel as Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan
Michaela Conlin as Angela Montenegro
Eric Millegan as Zack Addy
Tamara Taylor as Dr. Camille Saroyan

My Thoughts:

This is one of my favorite Halloween episodes. I have watched it every year since it originally aired. It has an interesting storyline as well as the main cast in some fun Halloween costumes. As many times as I have seen this episode... I still laugh out loud when I see Booth in the squint costume. Then of course the women looked great as Cat Woman, Wonder Woman and a Vegas Show Girl.

Stars:
Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert
Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore

Steven R. McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert
Sara Canning as Jenna Sommers

My Thoughts:

This series I have a bit of a mixed reaction on. It is basically a teen soap opera with vampires. In one hand I love most anything vampire related... on the other I don't care much for the teen dramas. But the vampires is enough to keep my interest... and by the time I got to the 3rd or 4th episode I found I started to get into the storyline a bit as well. At this point I would say it is worth the watch... but with two more seasons on their way to me... I hope I get into it a little more.

My Thoughts:

This is one of my all time favorite TV Miniseries. I have watched it every year at this time since the DVD was released. I love the storyline... it really has a creepy feel to it. The whole cast is great. One of the cast members in this one is Emily Deschanel... who is now well known for playing Dr. Brennan in the TV series Bones. This is one that I HIGHLY recommend.

Title: Medium: The Sixth Season: Bite Me
During Halloween, Allison dreams of a classic zombie film — then awakens with scratches and bite marks! A funeral director's death arouses suspicion.

Stars:
Patricia Arquette as Allison DuBois
Miguel Sandoval as D.A. Manuel Devalos
David Cubitt as Detective Lee Scanlon
Sofia Vassilieva as Ariel DuBois
Maria Lark as Bridgette DuBois

My Thoughts:

This is one of my favorite episodes of a series that I have always loved. It is non-stop enjoyment when Allison dreams herself into the classic zombie film Night of the Living Dead. I also really liked the side story of Bridgette dealing with a recently dead tarantula. Though personally speaking I could have dealt with a lot less of that spider in the episode! Another thing I enjoyed was the short uncredited cameo appearance of Elvira. The entire episode was just a lot of fun... to the point that I just may have to watch it again before the month is over!

Title: Veronica Mars: The Complete Third Season: President Evil
Bad news for the thugs who hold up an illegal campus casino: Veronica's among the victims. And she is seriously ticked off when they score the necklace Lilly gave her.

Stars:
Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars
Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls
Percy Daggs III as Wallace Fennel
Ryan Hansen as Dick Casablancas
Julie Gonzalo as Parker Lee

My Thoughts:

This is another favorite series of mine. In this one... while Halloween is featured fairly well in this episode... it is not over done. A few decorations here and there... a few costumes and a mention or two pretty much covers the Halloween aspect of the episode. The rest is dedicated to that week's mystery. A very good episode... worth the time put in to watch it.

Title: Grey's Anatomy: Season Four: Haunt You Every Day
It's Halloween at Seattle Grace and the day is chock-full of surprises for the doctors. Alex has a surprise visit from a former patient; Meredith thinks her mother's ashes are haunting her; Cristina is snubbed by a top surgeon; and everyone is shocked when Callie reveals George and Izzie's relationship to the public.

Stars:
Ellen Pompeo as Dr. Meredith Grey
Sandra Oh as Dr. Cristina Yang
Katherine Heigl as Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens
Justin Chambers as Dr. Alex Karev
T. R. Knight as Dr. George O'Malley

My Thoughts:

This is one of my all-time favorite medical dramas. And this Halloween based episode was a lot of fun! I especially liked the storyline of the little boy needing plastic surgery to form some ears... going trick or treating for ears in the hospital... trying to get the operation for free. This is another episode I could see myself watching again before the month is over!

Stars:
Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter
Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper
Kaley Cuoco as Penny
Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz

My Thoughts:

In my opinion... this is one of the funniest sitcoms currently on! This Halloween episode is a load of fun! It is an episode I have watched every year for this marathon since it was released. Very funny... highly recommended! BTW, isn't there another Halloween episode of The Big Bang Theory? I thought there was, but can't find which one(s).

My Thoughts:

I have always enjoyed the Final Destination movies... and this one is no exception. I enjoyed it quite a bit. There is a lot of cool and gory kills in it. And I loved how it ended. The final scene was unexpected... at least I didn't see it coming. Some of my favorite kills were in the beginning of the film where he was having the vision before the accident. Anyway... definitely recommend this one for anyone that don't mind a little extra gore in their horror movies.
