Is there anyway I may amend the toolbar so that the Amazon icon can link to amazon.co.uk
I make 90% of my enquiries via amazon uk and rarely go to amazon USA.

Currently, amazon are looking at establishing an operation (Logoistics/fulfillment?) here in Australia (www.amazon.com.au?). Should that go ahead, I would like to be able to use the amazon icon/button to open a link to my geographic location.

I sure that other DVDProfiler users would similarly like to be able to link to their Canadaian, German, French, etc. locations.

I was able to edit a link a couple years ago when the icons were added but I can't find my notes and a search of the forums, faqs etc. has not been forthcomming.

DJ is correct.  According to Ken, the link is based on locality.

Thanks DJ. As usual, you are again spot-on, in so far as Region 1 & Region 2 titles are concerned! 
However, I have a problem with DVDs from my own locality, Region 4 (Australia, New Zealand, Oceania etc) where for example I click on the icon for the Region 4 version of "The Vicar of Dibley" and it opens the link for amazon USA which for my purposes is useless as they do not in gerneral deal in Region 4 DVDs

I would like to be able to modify it so that it opens a link to either my own local retailer, or my preferred amazon location (UK).

Because Region 4 Countries (Australia, New Zealand & Oceania) have virtually the same PAL format as UK/Europe PAL format, many of the R2 DVDs distributed in the UK by the Hollywood studios (both movies & TV) are either R 2+4, R2,4 or R2,4,5. The same goes for most BBC TV series released through '2 entertain Video' as they are commonly sharing the same master. It is likely a major reason why Region B Blu-ray is common for UK/Ireland/Europe/Australia/New Zealand etc countries.

For me personnally, I chose R2 over R1 because I find PAL format superior in quality to NTSC format.

Whilst I purchase the majority of my Australian DVD titles from Jb Hi-Fi, both online and instore, the quality of their metadata for title searching is sparse. To search for any title based on barcode, you need to physically change the search criteria via the drop-down menu on the search field.on the top right hand side of the web page.
I wouldn't recommend JB Hi-Fi as the definitive Australian online seller to substitute for the Amazon icon in DVDP. Most of the time I find their data to be incorrect, E.g. the "Available Date" which for JB Hi-Fi is not necessarilly the official title release date, but rather the next date their supplier will have DVD/BLD available for sale. The majority of their titles are also new release with very few backlist catalogue titles available for sale. Many of their online titles are also only supplied by 3rd party drop-shippers.
I frequently search through a variety of Australian online sites to build a title profile, the majority of which don't use the barcode in the search criteria. Most are using base metadata from 3rd part sources such as Trade Services (now seen in many eBay.com.au listings). Personally, I like a combination of data from devotdvd.com.au, (backlist catalogue) bookworld.com.au (most accurate data & front cover images) & booktopia.com.au but neither are any better or worse than the others.
