The Twilight Time release of "Désirée" when you go to Blu-ray.com and amazon.com it has the UPC 851789003207 which is what the profile was oringinally made as.

Now I received this in the mail and submited true cover scans and they got declined because the UPC on the cover has UPC 851789003139.  Well this happens to be the same UPC as the Twillight Time release of the "The Roots of Heaven"

Now we all know this happens sometimes where the art is printed with  the wrong UPC and normally what happens is the manufacturer places a sticker on the art or the case with the correct UPC.  Well they did not do that.

Unfortunately this is an exlusive release of only 3000 copies so I doubt that they will fix it in subsequent releases.  So far none of their Limited Edition series have had a re-release or reprinting.

Now obviously since the UPC's were different the contribution was declined...MY FIRST DECLINE!!!

Well I opened up a support ticket to ask how we can get the images in there since it is obviously a printing errror.

I just wanted  to know if anyone else has been able to navigate a similar issue and get the images in.

I have seen other threads which had some advice on how to handle it.  But none that actually stated that they got one in like this

Submit only front cover for both front and back cover (save your back cover locally).  Then, after you have submitted the profile with the front cover as both front and back, take your locally saved back cover and put it in your local profile.  Then lock cover images.

I would resubmit and explain the circumstances in the notes field.  All 3000 copies have the wrong UPC printed on the cover art and this has been discussed in multiple forums.

Scooter:
You can't call it a printing error. It may not be. The original UPC may be valid, just not from that vendor. Multiple upcs are common due to the use of a variety of security systems which are not compatible or even no security at all. Wall mart wants to receive product compatible with their system not best buys and vice versa
ASSUME NOTHING!!!!!!

Well first of all there are only 3000 copies printed.  By Twilight Time and the UPC matches another Twilight Time release.  Both BD's are exclusively sold at ScreenArchives.com and nowhere else.

OK buddy, that sounds reasonable. What likely happened was marketing setup a pre release that was later changed by production.:

The reason for the identical UPC was all reasonably and fully explained in Scooter's first posting and your two posts add a) nothing to the original problem he had and b) are completely void would you have taken the time to inform yourself online about the specific situation of the two Twilight Time releases in question.

I got the support ticket back and they stated if I placed all the information I provided them in the contribution notes it would get approved after I resubmit.  Like wgat rdodolak suggested.

But at least they confirmed that it would get approved if that information was provided.

I hope Twilight doesn't start re-using UPC's when their Limited Editions sell out. We should know soon as their Fright Night blu-ray is already long gone.

I don't think that's the case here as they still are selling Roots of Heaven on the screenarchives site. Sounds like a simple error during the layout process before printing the covers.
