Midsomer Murders: John Nettles to be replaced by Neil Dudgeon

John Nettles of one of my favorite crime/drama series, Midsomer Murders, retires after more than 80 episodes and 13 series.

Well yes, but that was a year ago. The new Barnaby has already been around for a good number of episodes.

True but in the USA we don't get the DVDs about 18 months later.
The region 1 Midsomer Murders Set 20, (2010) will not be released until July 3rd.

And as ever, who would want to live in a town like Midsomer?

I mean, so many things happening that the police have to quit

Mind you, I preferred John Nettles in Bergerac, at least he had a whole island to police then.
Signature? We don't need no stinking... hang on, this has been done... blast [oooh now in Widescreen]
Ah... well you see.... I thought I'd say something more interesting... but cannot think of anything..... oh well

I've followed MM from the start but the format has grown a bit stale over the years. I was hoping the change of lead would shake up things a bit but so far it has been mostly business as usual. Although I've heard the show has a new producer so maybe there will be some changes soon...
