| | Posted: | | | | I have seen a couple of contributions lately, where the contributor is adding a divider for a song title, and the divider lists the name of the song plus "Movie Name Theme" or "Theme From Movie Name", but the credit checked is 'Song Writer'. Shouldn't these be credited as 'Theme by' or am I missing the purpose of this Profiler credit?  | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.

For instance, the Simpsons, theme by Danny Elfman.
Others are a bit more confusing as are they as song or theme, esp. when listed in the end credits with other songs. I just did a profile that had "love theme by" among the songs. Since it didn't have any "curtosy of ____ records" or copyright dates (all others did), it seemed like it was a theme for the film and I credited it as such. No one else has the title (or no votes at least: Catacombs is the film) so it might not matter if this right or not, but it seems right to me. |
