Hi,

If I remove anamorphic from these profiles and try to contribute, result is "There were no changes", so I cannot contribute correct data. If I refresh these profiles, incorrect anamorphic value comes back. For some reason I can't fix the online database. Could someone else have a go with these and maybe have better success than me?

Profiles in case are:

Overhaulin': The Complete First Season [787364591695]
Overhaulin': The Complete Second  Season [787364592890]

I looked at those profiles in the database, and they don't have anamorphic listed in their video formats.

Both profiles show:

Video Formats:  NTSC Full Frame 1.33:1

That's strange, since everytime I update those profiles incorrect anamorphic data comes back.

Can confirm this.

On preview it's as Corey described, but when you download the profile you get NTSC FullFRame with flagged "Anamorphic".

Probably one should try to perform a 2-step correction:
1) submit a completely incorrect Video Format
2) Re-correct

But since this would require some very explicit contribution notes and the outcome is not guaranteed, it's probably best to hand this correction over to Ken.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

There's definitely something amiss with those profiles. If you notice, the 16 x 9 Enhanced check box is grayed out yet there's a check mark in it. When you edit the profile and remove the check mark to correct it and contribute, there is no change detected.

These profiles can only be corrected by invelos because there's an invalid flag set. Even updating the profile with incorrect data and then correcting that probably won't remove the invalid flag.

I can't see it greyed out. Looks normal to me.

Try

Untick 16x9 enhanced
delete the aspect ratio.

Then contribute...

I don't want to contribute incorrect data. I opened  a support ticket. Now it's in a queue along with my other tickets with no response from invelos    Invelos customer support really sucks

It is not incorrect.  the system does not need the aspect ratio on a full screen or pan and scan format.  The system assumes 1.33:1.

Whenever I contribute a FF presentation (not many and not in a while), I never filled in the aspect ratio.  It is redundant, because FF is always 1.33:1.

OK, not incorrect but removes correct info

Yes it does if you want filter using aspect ratio. I believe some reports need that value too.

No it doesn't, FF with empty value and FF with 1:33 aren't the same thing.

Yes and no...

I do not know of an internal filter for aspect ratio. If there is one, let me know, because I could not locate it.

In the video window section, on the main page, it will list 1.33:1 for full frame, without an aspect ratio filled in.

As far as reports at DB Query, yes you are correct.  That is a limitation, though it would get rid of the anamorphic tag.

Good news #2. From Ken Cole to my support ticket:

"This is confirmed as a bug in version 3.7.2.  The anamorphic checkbox only applies to widescreen DVDs.  We've included a fix in version 3.8 to correct this and also to auto-correct all profiles with this case, including downloaded online profiles.

With that in mind, there's no need to submit a correction in this case."

Have you tried removing the profile and re-adding it instead of updating it?

Ironic in that of the last 4 audits I've done have been anamorphic WS dvds, and 3 of them were not ticked/checked for anamorphic. Maybe the whole thing is going screwy.

No, but from this thread you'll find out that other users have, without success.

I believe this thread has been answered properly  but wanted to add as I was reading from the top down..,, Sometimes I have this same type scenario where contributed profiles come back no changes detected.. It turns out I neglected to unchecked my ''locks''  for certain areas of the profile and then do a 'refresh' and it changes to the same details I was trying to add/contribute ( especially areas where I do not want changed) in the first place .. such as anamorphic tick box  or even a front or rear scan . etc .
