| | Posted: | | | | Was wondering what is the standard for archive footage. JFK has footage in the film from the 60's. People in the news footage are listed in the profile credits. I've seen other profiles that credit people from archive footage. |

I have been doing edits and find I lock more than I contribute. So I'll probably remove them in my local. JFK just has to many uncredited from archive footage. |

As far as I can remember any profile contributed removing this data has been accepted.
Although people may have added archive footage, and had it approved, it has been so long I don't remember it.
I would vote "yes" on their removal and "no" on their addition and let the screeners decide. |

| | Posted: | | | | I've removed them in every case I've come across (most recent was an audit to remove James Stewart from a profile, I can't for the life of me remember the film at the moment, but I believe It's a Wonderful Life was playing on the tv in the film). I've never had a single no vote, and I've removed a lot. I did an update to profiles for JFK, Nixon and Malcolm X, all of which had massive amounts of archived footage credits (shockingly, cloned from IMDB), and received votes in the double digits on all of the profiles, and not a single no vote was thrown my way for removing these.

| | Posted: | | | | Just don't try removing "Robbie the Robot" from anything, people love him and will fight to keep him in.  It already happened at least once, I just can't remember which title it was for, but it wasn't one he was really in, just a background sighting. |
