Hey,

I'm wondering how it would be possible to add a new ups to a movie that it already in the invelos database but doesn't recognize the upc on my dvd cover. Can someone please help me with this issue.

thank you.

Theer is a proper set of instrucitons somewhere (I'm sure someone will link to it) but basically:

Download the title in the database and select it
From the munu bar: DVD -> Change EAN/UPC
Put in the new code and save
Change anything that needs changing because is't totally identical - ths will definitely include covers so that the UPC/EAN matches but could also include region/locality if you are using (say) a US profile as a basis but it is a UK disc, release dates and RRP fo re-releases, disc ID if the disc has been re-pressed/different locality, release studio if someone has bought the rights etc.

When this is all done and checked submit the new disc and make sure you explain in your contribution notes where all the data came from and which EAN/UPC you used as a basis.
It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong

What Voltaire said, but I'll add that scans showing the UPC are undeniable proof. If you don't have a scanner, look around the web and you might find em.

Not necessarily.  I recently purchased a Blu-ray at Wal-mart that had one UPC on the plastic shrinkwrap that was covering up a different UPC printed on the back cover.  If the back cover was scanned after the shrinkwrap was removed it would show the incorrect UPC.  Also, check out the rear cover of this DVD (UPC 037429-181423).

Hmmm, usually those stickers on top of shrinkwrap are for store exclusives or special sales. I've probably thrown a few out in my time and just gone with what was printed on the cover. I do have a few others with stickers either on the keepcase or the inlay itself, covering/changing the UPC #'s. When stuck on permanent like that, I go by them. If on outside, I treat them like promo stickers (e.g. "save $20, coupons inside"), trash.

Check that Blu-ray, the UPC underneath is probably legit and in the db. Every once in a while mistakes happen and companies use stickers to fix them, but that all goes back to what I was saying about being on the package itself. Often times extra stickers over the UPC's are for stores to group titles in a sale rack or something, so they all ring up for the same price and the reciept will read "Halloween dvd" or something like that. I just don't trust extra UPC's on the outside of shrinkwrap, if they wanted us to keep them they would be attached somewhere more permanent IMO.

I believe this is a Wal-Mart exclusive, for the time being at least.

It's not in the database.  Here are the UPCs:

Shrinkwrap:  UPC 883929-208951
Back Cover:  UPC 883929-209422
