In the end credits of a tv series I'm updating the end credits have a credit for Music Direction and two people are listed.

There is also a credit for Theme by.

Does the people credited for Music Direction get a credit?

I don't think that music direction is an equivalent of music composition, so I would not consider music direction a valid credit for our purposes.

I agree.

Thanks, sort of what I thought.

Anyways, the reason I asked is because, as we all know, credits can be rather strange and not conform to our terms.

So I thought just as a director directs actors in a movie/tv series, I thought that perhaps a music director directs musicians what to play.

The modern credit, for that person, is Music Supervisor.  While they do deal with music, they do not compose it.
