It's two movies (Miss Congeniality & Miss Congeniality 2) on one BD.

From the contribution notes, the cast/crew were added at one point, but apparently they're now missing.

No it should not. From the contribution rules

Exception: More than one movie on a single side of the disc should be entered as a single profile, as you would with TV Series. Use episode dividers for cast and crew.

Sure wish Ken would come up with a solution for this!

Indeed. The current approach using dividers works fine locally, but it wreaks havoc on the CLT numbers...

Well, in my opinion the rules are not only very arcane, but they are inconsistent when you consider that this program is used as a tool for searching for a single movie.

For example:

779836-112798 is two movies on one DVD, but on opposite sides.  As a result, the two movies are listed separately, as part of a boxed set.

883929-106356 is two movies on one BD, but on the same side. As a result, the two movies are not listed separately, because they are not part of a boxed set.

This is really a good distinction (not) when I search my collection for a single title.  I mean, isn't that the point?

I've been looking at alternate solutions, but CollectorZ (eg.) has the same issues.  However, it does support Android devices, and there are several movies that I've had to submit to DVDProfiler, that are just there in the CollectorZ DB:  eg, 779836-112798, 014381-021424, 014381-021325, 842841-071944, 842841-088256, 610583-404395.

This isn't so much because of the Rules... but limitations of the software. As it only uses UPC codes and Disc IDs as identifiers. There is no way to break up 2 movies on a single sided disc.... other then locally only.

We are hoping there would be a solution for this before too long. But we have no idea if it is in the works yet or not.

As Pete said, that rule is there because the program has no way of creating a unique ID for the second film that is on that disc.  With a two sided disc, both sides will have a disc ID.  With a single sided one, however, there is only one.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.

There is another solution.

Submit by the rules the profile if it does not exist.

Once it is approved, LOCALLY ! Change it to a box set and add both movies to your Local DB. NEVER submit it for the DB

I did the same with with the 20 Western DVD set 5 Discs 20 movies. I added then as different profiles to a Boxset, but I have the Boxset profile and info block from being uploaded.

This fixes the issue for YOU, and leaves it as it should be in the Database.
