Ok so I get the old Your Profiles need to be updated today so I start going through them.

First is the 786936808742 profile for legacy and maybe its box set contents.

First off this isn't even the right image for the profile UPC

Next, even if it is by disc id, the first image submitted stays ? Given that I am sure they put the same discs in several different packages for this release.

So how to go about fixing this ? and how is this getting approved ? I miss spell something and it gets rejected but someone submits a wrong image and or a different image and its ok ?

Color me a little confused

Is this update for the profile with the UPC 786936808742 of for one profile by DiscID that is a child of this profile?

As of know: yes. There is simply no way to handle this problem otherwise. As you yourself wrote, a certain disc can be in any number of Boxsets, how to determine which one is the "right" one?

The parent profile seems to have the correct image with matching UPC.

You are probably right that the child profiles submitted by disc ID already belong to some other release and thus has to stay. All you can do is to replace them with the correct images locally and lock them.

Yup... until there is a change where you can have multiple cover arts to choose yours from all you can do is lock yours down locally.

Unfortunately, this was released in...at least...4 different variations so the disc ID child profiles belong to multiple parent profiles.  What seems to have happened here is that the person who contributed the child profile purchased a different version than you did and got their profile accepted first.  As has been said, at this time, there is nothing that can be done about this.

Is there a way to see the contrib history?

Ill be honest I don't recall ever scanning this, because when I scan I lock it.

Yes, Exactly.

And just to note, I am the one who contributed the coverscans in question.

This was released as multiple sets, so it's first come and first serve if the disc ID's are identical... until Ken comes a long with a solution where multiple release covers can be attached to a single profile.

This happens all the time with discs that are in a regular and 3D release, a series and lone release, DVDs that are available separately or with a Blu-ray, etc.

Of course, in the "General Info" window is an icon that shows two figures on a disc. Click this and you see all contributors, click "View contribution notes" to see contribution notes and declined contributions etc.
