For YoP, which is in DVDP the year of original theatrical release, I use wikipedia and imdb, because they list the release dates. |

To start with, many of the online retailers didn't pass on the recent rise in VAT, so their RRP doesn't reflect that. Lets use the forthcoming Frankie Howerd release from Network as an example. If you use find-dvd.co.uk, it shows the reported RRP as £19.99. However, if you look the title up on Network's own site, they show an RRP of £20.41. Another problem is that many online retailers have stopped displaying the RRP altogether. The best solution is a bit of cross referencing (as Samuel mentions above). |

When Amazon UK were listing RRP I found DVDSource to match. They also have the DoR too....and, as a bonus, the EAN/Barcode for those pesky pre-release or wishlist needs. |

However, if you look the title up on Network's own site, they show an RRP of £20.41 I think a lot of RRP problems recently have been because of the tax going down to 15% (making a £19.99 RRP turn to £19.79) and then up to 20% (making them £20.41). It's complete chaos unfortunately.  |

Yes indeed, I've been caught by them a few times in the past with pre-release TV and film titles. It's possible they're corrected once the product 'hits the shelf' (and having just cross checked a title on their site which I know they made an error on, it has since been corrected). But to guarantee a correct EAN for any pre-release I submit, I stick to the BVA these days. |

Seriously though, cross checking info is indeed the best policy, rather than looking for (and relying upon) a "one-stop-shop" as the OP was asking for. |
