If two or more people are grouped together and credited with the same job is it fine to use a group divider for them?

For example let's say we come across a credit like this.

Makeup Artists Sally Smith
                    George Will

Or perhaps a better example.

Let's say in the makeup section we have the following credits.

Mr. Cruise's Makeup by Beverly Jolie
Ms. Walters Makeup by Herman Salt
Makeup Department Heads Douglas Crystal and Madeline Walters

Would it be ok to use a group divider for the Makeup Department Heads

Or let's say that 10 people are listed as a group for Special Effects. OK to use a group Divider called "Special Effects" for them?

On a more confusing sub-topic, what if two or more people are credited as Sound Editors? Since the program already has that it would be redundant to use a group divider for them. Correct?

I think the rules answer this question
Quote:
Dividers allow the segregation of cast and crew into logical groupings. Wherever possible, these groupings should mirror the film credits.

I personally wouldn't use it for "Sound Editors" but as i read them the rules support it

While, technically, you could argue that the sort of divider you propose is allowable...I don't see what it will add to a profile other than to clutter it.

Locally you can still use the custom roles to give the specifics.

Otherwise you'd have a divider saying "Make-up Department Heads" and underneath the 2 crew people would either have Make-up Artist of a repeat of the divider information. So one way the people have 2 job titles that are different or 2 the same. I don't think that adds anything.

IMHO, no.

if a divider has no useful information, leave it out.

In cast and crew lists, we are trying to capture information, not necessarily making a photographic copy.

This.
I don't think tracking the crew role in a divider makes much sense.

IMHO, no.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding but, because the program will display the crew credit, Sound Editor in this example, a group divider that reads 'Sound Editor' would, indeed, be redundant.

Now for the main question...I am a bit on the fence as to whether or not the rules allow this.  Yes, this is a logical grouping but, because we have to include a credit, it won't mirror the credits.  Since we can't leave out the credit, like we can with cast, I would not use dividers.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

For the record: I agree. When I said "no" here, I meant that I would not use a divider for this.

Agreed again.
