At the moment I'm looking at my Michael Palin profiles and I'm not sure what the correct credit for him is.

In the credits at the beginning he is merely credited by name, and in the end credits he is credited either as "written and narrated by" or "written and presented by".
With an end credit present we obviously have to use that one, but is it then allowed to use "Narrator" or "Presenter" for the role name?

I just want to be sure I'm on the right track before contributing a load of profiles...

I see no problem with that, they're both valid credits - I've seen them used on plenty other profiles. Remember to tick the voice box for "Narrator".

In the absence of a normal cast credit, I would probably just enter him as Michael Palin as Himself. But I'm okay with either way. However, if we're going strictly by as credited, then the role is either Narrated By or Presented By. And since he's both narrator and acting participant I don't think it would be correct to mark his contribution as voice-only.

Yes, this is fully allowed by the Rules

If an actor is credited by name but does not have an associated role, you may use the film itself, or another source to identify the role.

The easy to do that is to credit him two times : one as whatevever role he play and the other as narrator (voices only). This is how I always do this when a situation like that happen in a movie.
