While I'm working on the profiles for the German Release of the DC 75 Anniversary Collection, I found some Sneak Peeks on the DVDs. But how do I handle them?
For me Sneak Peeks are Featurettes...

How do you feel about this?

I don't think I've seen anything like that on a disc, so not quite sure what they are, but if they're anything like the "Coming Attractions" you get on some discs then I'd say they were trailers.
Could you give some more info on their actual content?

Define "Sneak Peeks".

1) Trailers from other films?

2) A sampler of scenes from random films used to promote the Studio/Label (think George Clooney snapping his fingers over the lighter which starts the often seen version of this for Universal(?))
The latter would fall into the category you didn't include - None of the Above\

3) Something else?
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

It depends on what they actually are. I have come across some items labelled as 'Sneak Peaks' on menus that have been simple teasers or trailers. Others have been some sort of behind-the-scenes featurette or interviews with the cast about the film(s).

It would depend on what it is. Some Sneak Peeks are trailers some are featurettes.

In this case the Sneak Peeks shows interviews of the cast, storyboard pictures and some pictures of the comics. A single Sneak Peek goes about 10 minutes...

And not only for the film on the DVD, there are more Sneak Peeks for other DC Films!

I enter them as Other Features, if at all. Mainly because I would expect a Featurette to deal with the movie I'm holding, not something that tries to sell some other coming attraction. The rules seem to agree:

Quote:
Featurettes Any video documentary material regarding the film, or those associated with it.

This. I would definitely not want to see "Featurettes" ticked for something that is not about the film on that particular DVD. So it has to be either a "Bonus Trailer" or something that goes into the "Other Features" field.

So I would use Featurettes for the Sneak Peek to that film and rest of Sneak Peaks I list at other Features.

As Tim said.
Definitely not a Featurette. It's either "Trailer" or "Other Features" depending on the actual content. But from my understanding of a "Sneak Peek" I'm tending towards "Trailer"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Mm. That's true I hadn't considered the fact that the 'Sneak Peaks' are about other movies.
So if it's not a trailer (which would be 'Bonus Trailers') and it's not a Featurette about this movie then it must be Other Features.

I suppose it may qualify as a 'Bonus Trailer' as it is advertising another movie you can buy.

Every "sneek peek" I've ever seen has been a trailer, teaser trailer, TV spot, or collection of the previous. Ergo, since they are trailers, the answer is easy: Bonus Trailers.

Now if they had the feature teaser trailer mixed in with some other TV spots and teasers, I'm not sure how to catergorize that. Definitly trailers, just not sure if I'd click feature and bonus both.
