If you have a crew member credited twice in the end credits with the same role do you enter them twice (to mirror the credits) or do you enter them only once (if so for which one?)

I'd treat the second entry for Christophe Mazodier the same way as I would treat "A Christophe Mazodier Production".
Means: Enter it only if he doesn't appear in the "Producers"-block and ignore it if he does.
But then again, this might only be my approach.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Sounds reasonable to me.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

One credit only for Jeffrey Boam and Robert Mark Kamen as Screenwriter; one credit for Jeffrey Boam as Story by. My 2 cents.

Are we certain that Jeffrey Boam is one person and not two people. Perhaps a father and son. Just asking because it does seem weird that they would credit him twice for the same thing in one line.

I believe this denoted that the team of Jeffrey Boam & Robert Mark Kamen worked on the screenplay, and that Jeffrey Boam also worked independently on the screenplay.  It would seem that the independent work of Jeffrey Boam was of enough significance to warrant a seperate credit.

I thought of 2 people, but could find no reference to more than one Jeffrey Boam on the internet including IMDb, so I didn't mention it. I didn't think of a father and son. Good question.

Yes, that's how it works. The "and" separates the 2 teams. The "&" links two members of the same team. Boam happens to be on both teams.

From the Writer's Guild:
Quote:
If literary material covered under the Minimum Basic Agreement is written by one member of a team, separate and apart from the work of the team, such literary material shall be considered separate from the literary material by the team for purposes of assessing contributions to the final shooting script. Therefore, such individual is eligible to receive writing credit as an individual writer and/or as a member of a team.

An easy example of two teams would be:

Name1 & Name2

and

Name3 & Name4

In this case, it's a bit odd since the same guy is one both teams.

Rules states cast lists are exactly as credited... and in the same order of credits.

I would personally list it both times. And would vote no if it was not there or removed.

To me? none... and I don't personally agree with the majority of those in this thread. But I know little to nothing about crew so opted to stay out of it since I don't even bother to mess with or vote on crew only contributions.

With the cast I always contribute and vote exactly as I read in the rules. So I would always do so as both listings belongs per Rules.

So it would seem that the people who voted in this poll voted for their own personal preferences and not per the rules, looks like i didn't word the question right i was asking if it was against the rules to list the person twice

I can't say... wouldn't dream of speaking for anyone else. But the way I read the rules it should be listed twice. They may have a different take on how they read the rules. That only they can tell you.

One thing I have learned... even what I think is the most clearest of rules can be read more then one way.
