But unless those scratches make a like a complete circle the data is not affected. | | | Last edited: by ShinyDiscGuy |

Also, make sure your nephew never, ever can get his hands on your collection | | | Unfortunately, I can't use DVDprofiler at the moment due to lack of a Windows computer. |

If there are, maybe cleaning it with a dry cloth can help. | | | Blu-ray collection DVD collection My Games My Trophies |

| Posted: | | | | Before you laugh, this has actually worked for me on DVDs. I haven't had to try it on BRD yet. If it's skipping, freezing or pixelating, use a disc cleaner or wipe the playing surface on a dry soft surface such as a terrycloth towel or cotton shirt. With your little finger, get some skin oil by rubbing the end up and down where the nose and cheek meet, down by your lip. Rub lightly in the direction of scratch and try playing again...don't wipe it off. The next time you go to play it, do it again before playing. It has actually worked for me.
If it still skips and you can acquire some jewelers rouge, you can try polishing the scratch out...gently. This would probably be a one time deal.
In either case, you can't really hurt it if it's already broken. Good luck. | | | Marty - Registered July 10, 2004, User since 2002. |
