While I know the main purpose of this app is to catalog ones owned movies, the "watched" feature has definitely become popular in my household. Though, we often rent movies, or go to the theater to see movies and we'd like it to become a catch all for the movies we've seen, whether we own them or not.

Does anyone else want a Watched List feature for movies NOT in their catalog? I mean, I know you can add movies to the wishlist or ordered list to do this, but I'd like to use thos sections for what they were intended.

Create a new custom category on the desktop version and name it e.g. "Only Watched". Inside the app choose this category, add the filter "Last Watched" + "Before" + tomorrow's date and you got your list. Not very elegant maybe, but it works.

Or do I misunderstand your request?

I don't currently have access to the desktop client due to using a Mac now, so that wouldn't work for me.

But if I were to install it via Boot Camp... how does that work, categories? I'm not familiar with them. Are those like the "Owned" "Ordered" and "Wish List" lists within Collection?

I just add the DVD to owned and tag it with 'Do not own'.  Chances are I end up buying it, and when I do I have the watched history to go with the new profile.

Just started messing with collections but there's a checkbox on the collection creation/edit to include it in your owned collection. I would clear that an the one for globally unique collection numbers.

I've now added a "Watched" category that I add movies to that I've watched, but don't own. And if I buy it, I will move it to my owned section. :-D

Liking this set up very much as it's exactly what I was hoping for. Looks exactly as I would have wanted it to as well.

(As a note, my wife and I want to know which Blu-rays we OWN that we haven't watched... the physical discs that is... so we aren't adding any viewing information to the movies we add to the "Watched" section, only the movies themselves. When we've watched the copy we own we add the viewing information.)
