Try using different locality's..,  or try and locate the same 2 disc  Blu-ray copies but under a "different upc code.."
you may find someone has done the work and all you have to do is (download) copy and paste the crew and cast ,
if you don;t have a scanner you might as well copy the front and rear jacket until your UPC shows up and then you can reload the newer credits/scans .. make sure you you lock off all your changes so you don't accidentily wipe it out if you go to do a  refresh using your true UPC/EAN ..
and I guess you wouldn't/ or couldn't  contribute any of this as it is not the true deal.. to your own disc identity., but it can save you a lot of time if you don't have the time.

No what he means is: download an existing copy, which you can use as a base. With that starting point, adapt everything that is different but don't submit under that UPC. Instead, first change the UPC and then submit. This will create a new entry in the database, different than the one you downloaded as a base to start with. I  hope I explain it well enough 

I'm guessing these individual releases have a different UPC than the already released box set, but the discs inside are the same. If that is indeed the case, you can do as I described.

I wonder if this is the same set that was on sale at Target?  I was in charge with taking down all the sale signs at my Target in the entertainment dept last night, and I knew the individual LotR blu-rays were on sale for $7.99, but when I got to the trilogy boxset, it also was marked $7.99!    At first, I thought someone had just put one of the individual film signs on the boxset, but I looked closer and it was in fact for the trilogy!    I even double checked it with my scanner, and yup, came up as $7.99.  There was also no "fine print" on the sign indicating limited quantity/no rain checks, so I was able to issue a rain check for myself since it was sold out.    So, even though I already have the extended editions on DVD, at $7.99 how can I turn down the trilogy on blu-ray, even if it's only the theatrical editions?
