| Posted: | | | | In Ireland, we often get discs released that are identical to the UK release with the only difference being that the Irish certificate is printed on the case rather than the English cert.
Is it possible for me to enter this different barcode but link it to the UK version so that I keep getting any information updates for the title? If not, how do I copy the full profile of one movie into the new record so that I don't have to enter them all from scratch?
Thanks,

You add the UK profile and then select DVD->Change Locality.
You can contribute that instantly (after adjusting the rating), noting that it's a carbon copy of the UK profile. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to "link" profiles together the way you mentioned. If these updates are crucial for you, you're stuck with the UK profile, I'm afraid. As far as the copying goes: here's a guide on how to construct an (e.g.) Irish profile based on (e.g.) a UK one. It's called "cloning profiles". Prior to this, follow Karsten's instruction.
