Hello,

I have a problem with Profiler since a couple of days. Profiler is acting a little strange and here is the problem.

When I start up profiler and try to add a title, profiler places it on a number somewhere in my collection, rather than on a new number. I have 1398 titles in my collection and when I add a new one, it should be number 1399. But instead the title gets something like 198. Reassign collection numbers should do the trick you might think, but when I do that, there are still gaps in my collection. When I check the collection numbers there are numbers that come up twice. Two titles have collection number 197, that's why 198 is open. Reassigning doesn't help and when I manually adjust all the titles that have double numbers, next time I start up profiler the problem is back. This problem occurs on multiple titles and I would really like how to fix this.

Thanks in advance and I hope there is an answer because this is a strange problem that I haven't seen before in the years I've been using profiler.

Have you started using Custom Collections?

You could try the database repair under Tools->Options->Utilities

I also had problems getting duplicate collection numbers. I manually renumbered the incorrect ones. Then performed a database repair. That solved my problem.
