Quick question: how do we deal with this, special features-wise? I mean: the disc basically has only one feature, called "Maximum Comedy Mode". Read the DVDTalk.com review (here) to get an idea. That one feature entails quite a lot, however: it's basically an extended version of the film, playing for nearly three full hours, with "Walk-Ons" by Kevin Smith, stopping the film and talking to the viewer, it includes deleted scenes, alternate footage (dailies), storyboards, picture-in-picture content which in itself might qualify as "featurettes", and so on.

So how do we enter this into DVD Profiler? Do we just put "Maximum Comedy Mode" in the "Other Features" field and don't check any of the boxes, or do we just forget about the "Maximum Comedy Mode" label and instead try to tick just the checkboxes for any kind of content that happens to occur somewhere in the three hours' running time of this feature? Or do we do both (check the boxes AND list "Maximum Comedy Mode" in the "Other Features" field)?

Yeah, this along with Universal's U-Control I've been confused with how to handle. However, I believe per rules since the deleted scenes, outtakes, etc are not available separately via the menu, they may need to be left off...

Quote:

Deleted Scenes, Alternate Scenes, Alternate endings available through a separate menu option, and not incorporated into the main feature or a documentary.

I do think that this is something that should be brought up later to possibly include in the rules if people want it, but for now it would need to be local.

I agree with TheMovieman.  As the rule states, they must be available through a separate menu option and not incorporated into the main feature.  As described, they fail both requirements as they are not available through a separate menu option and they are incorporated into the main feature.

As it stands right now, 'Other Features' is the only option.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I would look at both this and U-Control the same way as BD-Live content in which Ken said...

Quoting Ken Cole:

They should definitely be counted as trailers.  After all, we can't have everyone in agreement, can we???

Just kidding, BD-Live-only content should only result in the BD-Live checkbox.

See my bold... So I would do like Martian said... and make it Maximum Comedy Mode in Other Features for this release.
