Never came upon anything like this before, so I am in dire need of help as to how to solve it;

The following three names are the same actor;
Hansford Rowe
Hansford H. Rowe, Jr.
Hansford Rolle

Now; in "Three Days of the Condor" the opening credits read "Hansford H. Rowe, Jr" (no role attached), and the end credits read "Hansford Rolle [as]: Jennings.

Here's the peach: According to CLT "Hansford Rowe" is his most credited name, so according to the rules it would be "Hansford Rowe" [Hansford Rolle] as: Jennings, but that leaves out the opening credits name "Hansford H. Rowe, Jr."....

What to do, what to do?

Sorry if the post is confusing, but what can I say.... I am confused...

The only time we use the opening credits is when an actor is listed there, but not in the end credits.  Since he is listed in the end credits, that is the name we use.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

Is it really that simple?!?! [Phew]

So in that case it would be Hansford Rowe [Hansford Rolle] as: Jennings and the opening credits don't count at all for this particular name?

I can live with that

Thanks Martian!

PS: Still - strange credits nonetheless....

I can't speak for anybody else but, for me, it is that simple.

I agree, even though someone told me different way back when I asked about a guy who was Jim in open but James in end (can't recall who or what, so this is example only. Search is not working here or google to find what I'm referring to).
Anyway, I was told then to use the name from open credits, which always seemed wrong to me as the end had the roles. Pretty sure it was a user and not a mod who told me that.
