I would like to know how my upload was changed before it was even approved.
I purchased the BR. went to add to collection - was not there on BR. I then scanned the cover - added the information that was on the coverart, -- THATS ALL - then I check after I did an update - (I just accept any updates) only to find out that my collection now has bucket loads of infor that I didn't add.

So how do I fix it - so i can upload it and get it approved.

Also - I had my coverscans of "Green Zone" approved - then a few days later - declined.  The images were better than the approved ones that I downloaded when I added the BR to my collection.
Why is there no explanation for decline! - Its not a 5 minute job to so this stuff for the collection and upload for the enjoyment of the DVDProfile community - SO I would appreciate a little bit of information as to why my picture are declined

Thank you

Hello,

I try to explain

Your valkyrie contribution was not changed I guess, another person probably had contributed a more complete profile and that profile you updated to your local database.

I never have seen images first approved and then declined, are you sure it was that way ?
Usually the steps are:
Received --> Approved --> Released or
Received --> Declined

The screeners are approving tons of updates each day, it is just too much work to give a reason all the time, sometimes you get a reason tho.
hope I could clear it up  abit

If you could give the UPC, we could do a check of the contribution notes history to see how this happened.

That might be one reason - exactly what information did you take off the cover? Because stuff like cast and crew is supposed to come from the film credits only. To help you out, I've submitted a bare bones profile (9-321337-112664) just to get the online version started. I'll repost if/when it's accepted and then you can resubmit your's and pick and choose what info to submit.

Edit: I notice you've submitted again - the problem is because the profile doesn't exist yet, ALL information is submitted even if you only wanted to submit the images. There's a good chance the profile will be declined again because of this. If not, let me know ASAP so I can withdraw mine.

Edit 2: I've also had a look at the Green Zone (5-050582-788419) profile and can't see any mention of it being approved, only the decline. Unfortunately once it's declined we can't see your images anymore so are as much in the dark as you are as to why they were declined. The only thing I can suggest is you give more reasons why your scans are better in the notes. All images are resized for the online, so just saying Hi-Res doesn't really help.

Edit 3: just thought, did anyone vote on your Green Zone images? Go to My Profiler above and click on Contributions. You should see Green Zone in the list, with voting numbers. Click on the numbers and you should see the reasons the people gave for voting.

This can also be:
There is a little bit time between the approve and the release of a contribution, so it is possible you had no chance to see first contribution and added information to empty fields that have been filled in another contribution which was approved, but not released.

Actually, that's got me a bit confused because I looked at the Valkyrie profile in Ozijen's collection and it doesn't actually exist in the online yet, which is probably causing the submission problems. But if that's the case, where did all the info come from if Ozijen didn't add it?

That the Valkyre profile can't be seen does just mean he didn't synchronize his collection after the profile got released.

That's why I asked for the UPC, this could help for understanding what happened.

As I understood it, he added a new profile, because there was no matching in online database. So if another user did this also a few hours before ozijen submitted his contribution, the first contribution for a new profile was approved and ozijen's contribution changed from a new profile contribution to a profile change contribution.

Here. Only his and north's entries are there. It does seem that there was no profile there beforehand.

Ok, now I get it.

Edit: And yes the additional data is really strange.

FYI - Ozijen's 2nd attempt has been accepted so I've withdrawn my submission.

I thought he just added the cover scans in second attempt. But now this profile is complete.

I think that's all he wanted to submit, but as it was a new profile there was no choice: everything got submitted. The data looks good, I'm just curious where it came from.
