I am reviewing the studios on the DVD Basic (UPC: 7-332421-013547 Locality: Sweden) and in the opening credits there are two studios listed (Intermedia Films and Phoenix Pictures) but on the back cover Columbia Pictures is also present.

According to Statens Biografbyrå (www.statensbiografbyra.se) they state that COLUMBIA TRI-STAR FILMS AB is the distributor in sweden. I would think that they are talking about the theatrical release distribution (as it is Nordisk Film who is distributing this DVD). So my question is, should Columbia Pictures be contributed as the theatrical relese studio?

I would only list the studios from the actual film credits if it has no Columbia opening logo. Local theatrical distributors are never entered except for the country of origin. Nordisk film would be the media company in this case.

It is not uncommon for the theatrical distributor to be listed on the case, but not in the film credits.  For older films, it is not uncommon for them to be removed completely...this usually happens when a different studio buys the rights to a film library.  Because it is listed on the case, I would go ahead and enter it.

Columbia Pictures is listed in my profile, but it is an R1 US profile.  As I am not in Sweden, and will not be affected by this, I am just offering my opinion on the matter and will leave it for you guys to decide.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

True. Many Hitchcock films are a great example.
