I've noticed that recent profile updates removed the following two BY's:
- David Lee
- Robert Taylor

However, for both names I have two different people with different BY in my local DB:
David Lee (CREW)
1938: Lost in Space, Resident Evil Apocalypse, Silent Hill, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider > Asian person headshot
1958: The Hills have Eyes 2, Lara Croft Tomb Raider, The Matrix Trilogy, Outlander, X-Men > Western person headshot

Are these two different people or not? If not, then which headshot is correct?

Robert Taylor (ACTOR)
-1911 : Vertical Limit, The Matrix > b&w headshot
- 1965 : don't know which movies, he's just in my local from the headshots DB > color headshot of a guy with a hat on

Same question: are both the same person and if so, which would be the correct headshot.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on these issues.

I have no less than 4 different David Lee's in my crew lists, two with known BYs (1938, 1958), and two that I gave imaginary BYs locally (9905 and 9907, according to a scheme I saw others use). Very prominent is a Writer/Producer of episodes of Frasier and Wings.

In any case, I keep BYs locally when there is any doubt. They are not in my way (as someone I knew would say, "they aren't eating any bread"), and I just don't check the box when I contribute.

I appreciate that BY's should be both correct and documented (as to their correctness), but I think people are going overboard in trying to establish the "need". Especially where one of the possibly needed BYs can't be found or documented, that is no reason to remove the other BY that was documented, but then becomes the only documented case.

There are many David Lee's in the database, and yes, those birth years are definitely correct, and you should have no problem getting those back in. There's even a dedicated David Lee-thread. Both birth years you've mentioned are also documented in the forum's pinned BY-thread, so I really don't see why someone would remove them.

As for Robert Taylor: plenty of those as well. You've just got the facts mixed up - it's not the 1911 Robert Taylor that's in 'The Matrix' and 'Vertical Limit' (that would be quite a feat, since he died in 1969), but one of the other Robert Taylor's. I don't believe a birth year is known for the (Australian) actor in 'The Matrix' and 'Vertical Limit' etc - it certainly isn't 1965, because that's not an actor, but a crew guy as documented in the BY-thread here.

Thanks a lot for the replies. That clears up a lot of issues.

David Lee:
I think it got removed in a recent X-Men or Matrix Blu-ray update. My local still has the correct info so I'll resubmit it and link to the thread T!M referred to.

T!M, thanks a lot for the useful info on Robert Taylor. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any BY for the correct Robert Taylor, but I kept the BY's for the other ones, so he is the only one without a BY.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Kill the ones not needed, like Samuel L. Jackson who keeps coming back with a BY to my local.

BTW, I just added one for Sean Penn (1960), as there is another guy in the low-budget horror flick "Death Tunnel" which I own and know isn't the famous/humorless Sean.
I'd rather find the BY for the impostor, but searches find nothing but the common.
