I just picked up one of those 4-film packs at Walmart that contains four horror titles. There is no profile for this collection's UPC in the database, but the individual films are all in there. Should I create a profile for this "box set"? Or do we just live with the individual profiles?

If I were to create a profile, what would I use for a title? It doesn't really have a "box set" name, just "4-Film Pack" in a banner at the top of the cover with a collage of the individual titles' cover art:

Pumpkinhead II
Leprechaun
Wishmaster
Wishmaster 2

I see there are other profiles in the database for similar "4-Film Favorite" packs, but I didn't find this one.

I know of at least one that just uses the four film titles as the title:

UPC 031398-118770

"Dakota / In Old California / Dark Command / A Lady Takes a Chance: Multi-Feature"

I don't buy these very often but, because they aren't really 'box sets'...just films thrown together to get rid of stock...I don't create a parent when I do.

But isn't the fact that they have their own UPC a valid enough reason to be included in the database?

Open for debate/interpretation, I suppose.

I agree. These have their own UPC and cover art so I don't see why not.

Yes, they are definitely valid "Box Set" entries and contributable into the database. They have their own UPC number and unique coverart.

Thanks, that's pretty much identical to the horror set I have (another Lionsgate multi-pack).

I've already created a local profile.  I'll polish it a bit and possibly submit it later.

If that is the case then I too agree they should be entered as a box set. When I agreed with the Martian a few posts above I was under the impression these were just one of those shrink wrap sets. You know, where they just grab a few movies, shrink wrap them together and put a UPC on it.

I would consider it a box set, as well.
