After doing many profiles I have come across times when in the end credits they list a Visual Effects company and then just a list pf people.

These people have no roles associated with them, but I have noticed a few names listed that I have already in my database as Visual Effects Supervisors or Digital Effects Supervisors.

And what about cases where it's just a company name (but it is a Visual Effects Company) and people listed under that?

Something like

Digital Domain
<Name 1>
<Name 2>
<Name 3>
and so on...

Sometimes the number of people listed under these (with no roles) can be quite high in number,

So is it ok to credit these people who are listed under a Visual Effects company divider?

In my opinion, no.  You do not know what position these people these people played within the company.

We do not list everybody  underneath any VFX company (compositors, rotoscope, etc.)  If there are no positions listed, I just leave the VFX company off (at least for the online)

IMO

And Designers and Directors (although I haven't seen much of those credits yet).

So do I
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

So do I

As do I.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
