Is this possible? Or do i have to delete the Cast/Crew before submitting a new profile?
I bought two DVDs which are not in the database (4045167009769 and 4045167009417) and the contributions were declined because i took the cast/crew from imdb (no need to discuss that, i guess it's my fault, it's fine for me, i gave up trying to understand the contribution rules to their full extent).

So... all the other data (general information, audio, disc-id, cover scans...) is gone.

Or is it possible to _copy_ the cast/crew from an already approved profile for the same movie (there are a dozen profiles for those movies in the database).

I want to help to add these profiles, but the one thing i won't do is taking the credits from the movie itself.

thanks.

Z.

If it is a contribution for a new title (not yet in the database) you would have to submit it before adding the cast and crew... as new contributions are all or nothing.

If it is for an update to a profile you can just choose not to check the boxes for cast and crew.

Yes that is allowed. But you need to specify which profile they came from and you verify that the data matches your disc.

And I agree with Addicted, it's a lot easier if you get the profiles created and in the online first before you add cast and crew.

What I don't quite see is the difference in copying the data from the credits to copying the data from IMDb. Both takes it's time.

As northbloke pointed out already, it's OK to copy the data from already accepted profiles.
There are several ways to do this, the probably easiest:
- Download an accepted profile
- Go to menu "DVD -> Change EAN / UPC and enter the new EAN. Don't forget to check if the locality is set correctly for the "new" EAN.
- In the profile editor change entries to match your DVD (Overview, Features, Discs, ...)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
