| | Posted: | | | | I just added a Blu-Ray reader/writer to my PC. I can play and watch a Blu-Ray movie without problem.
However, when I want to enter the Disc ID in DVDP, it says that no disc is present. It works fine with DVDs.
I am using Windows XP SP3. Is it the source of the problem?

| | Posted: | | | | Closing the profile your working on sometimes helps. Or close and then reopen Profiler again. If that fails, restart your computer. I should be 1 of those 3. It's happened to me, both with DVD's and BD's.
Eric | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |

| | Posted: | | | | XP does not support the 'UDF 2.5' file system that is used by Blurays. You need to add a driver to get it to work. There is a copy of Toshiba's driver out on the net that works. A link has been posted here in the past.

In XP you actually need to use a program like AnyDVD HD to be able to read the disc ID at all, since it requires the UDF 2.5 filesystem. After some research I noticed that UDF 2.5 was the issue. MS has some drivers they say correct the problem, but they did not work. Thanks for the link in the other thread as it solved the problem. |
