depends on what is on the case and what is on the disc.

I for one prefer if there is a not rated version on the disc then the rating should be not rated.

so do I, as I said the cover shows Unrated at the top of cover but it does list a rating for both on the back cover becouse the movie has both with seamless branching I think.

My understanding of the new rule is you are supposed to list the rating of the rated version.

Then with the new rule it should be the rated version in the rating.

But as I said... this is a rule that is under consideration for a change to us NR for the rating. Ken hasn't said if he will change it yet or not. Hopefully he wiil.

Here's the two threads about it:

http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=viewtopic&topicID=444533

and a poll one asking for which people prefer:

Already said what I thought about it.

this is what the rule says specifically on the cover:

Rating
Use the Rating shown on the DVD cover. When there is no rating indicated or no rated version of the film on the disc, use the NR rating. Use the “Adult” rating for all Adult films.

Enter rating details as shown, excluding the rating itself and trailing period. e.g. "Rated R for sci-fi violence and brief language." is entered as "Sci-fi Violence and Brief Language". Obtain the rating details in order of preference from:

    * DVD case, usually on the bottom rear
    * Rating page displayed on-screen
    * Filmratings.com, or the equivalent region-specific ratings information website

For English profiles, capitalize all words except joining words such as "of", "the", "a", "in", etc. For non-English profiles, use capitalization rules common to the language of the profile, as commonly used for titles. In all cases, the first word will be automatically capitalized in your submission.

Right... since there is a rated version indicated on the case, and a rated version on the disc we have to (at least for now) use the rated version for the ratings field.

is there a difference now between DVD cover and rear cover because for instance Mirrors specifically states Urated on the front cover so even these rules dictate an NR detail.

DVD Cover = Entire cover... front, back, spine.
Rear Cover = Just rear cover.

But since there is a rated version indicated on the DVD Cover (you said there was one on the back cover) that is what we have to use. Believe me... I wish this wasn't the case. But that is how Ken has it for now at least.
