On a Norwegian Audio/Video forum there were discussed the lack of HD sound on European releases. Some just have a regular DD 5.1 track (but with higher resolution than regular DVD's) So I listed my 19 BD's that has only DD as audiotrack, and one user saw that I had the Norwegian produced movie Død Snø (Dead Snow) In Norway it's released with only a DD track, and in England, USA, Canada it has a DTS HD MA track. How insaine is that?? So I just bought another copy of Dead Snow from Canada this time (due to the Olympics, hehe) with a proper Norwegian DTS HD MA track... Why can't the Norwegian distributors give us a PROPER release?? Darn....

Yeah, but you Norwegians, Fins, Danes, and Swedes have the luxury of having a (sometimes) better than Blu-Ray quality DVD distributor on your doorsteps in the form of Another World Entertainment / Njuta Films.   They've released some excellent quality titles. Blu-Ray? Who needs it when you have AWE!

Yeah, the recent Blu-ray of Dead Snow released by IFC/MPI in the states has lossless DTS Master Audio and also an uncompressed PCM 2.0 audio track, which both sound great. That's strange that the Norwegian releases all received standard Dolby tracks. Did they skimp on any of the extra features? The IFC/MPI Blu-ray is literally packed with them.

I believe all the extras are included on the Norwegian release, but not the proper audiotrack :O)
