How to enter this profile?

Sony Pictures HE continuously releases double and triple features of that kind in Germany (see here). The movies are always on separate discs.

I prefer poll option 1, but in the online db some are entered as in poll option 3. Or is anything wrong?

EDIT: Unfortunately option 2 is too long, should've checked before posting...

Since this "Best of Hollywood" obviously is a series with several editions I usually go for option 3.
I wouldn't consider "Best of Hollywood" to belong into the Edition field at all, it's either a tag-line or title. So if it isn't option 3 I'd go for option 4:
"MIB - Men in Black / MIIB - Men in Black II", Edition: "2 movie collector's pack"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Why not? It's no different from "Widescreen Collection" or "Hollywood Collection" or "Star Collection" or under whatever other label distributors choose to re-release DVDs...

IMO it is different but only because it appears to be a box set so it could be construed as the box set title. If it was just one movie, then I would enter it as an edition. I would personally go with option 3 though option 1 wouldn't bother me either.

Really don't know "why not". It's more a "stomach feeling", which, of course, might be completely wrong.

EDIT: But on the other hand, as pointed out already by samuelrichardscott, we have a difference: It's not simply a rerelease, but a complete new release as boxset and in this way not different from other boxsets that have strange titles (like e.g. Oster-Box (transl. Easter-Box)). That's why I would use it as "boxset-title"
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

This.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Why are you inclined to include the "MIB" and "MIIB" logo's? AFAIK, we don't do those. Something similar came up with regards to the "007"-logo seen on the cover of Bond films - some people were including "007" as part of those titles, and Gerri Cole specifically ruled:

Quoting Gerri Cole:
Quote:
007 should not be included as part of the title of James Bond films.

I don't see how this is any different, and I would therefore not include "MIB" and "MIIB" either.

MIIB isn't a series moniker that moves around in the logo.

The "007" on the Bond covers isn't either - Gerri's ruling was simply about the plain and simple "007" letters seen on the cover. Sure, it represent something, but that something is not part of the title. Neither is this, IMHO.

This is merely a typographic representation of the title of the movie - "MIB" stands for "Men in Black". I don't see why we'd list it twice. Not that it matters, but just for fun: if you read "MIB: Man in Black" out loud, what would you say? "Men in Black, Men in Black"? Again: I don't see why we'd list both the title and it's typographic representation.

I don't see this being much different than Arthur/Arthur 2 :Comedy Double Feature, or Private Benjamin/Protocol: Comedy double feature.  The only question is 2 movie collectors pack.

IMO

Men in Black / Men in Black II :best of hollywood:2 movie collectors pack

since this is too long, best of hollywood should remain.  It is more prominent.

Thanks for all your input, guys.

Since there is no clear majority (even a tie among those who posted) and option 2 is too long, I decided to submit it the way my gut feeling is telling me and that's option 1. If it gets voted down, I'll try option 3 instead
