anyone have trouble with AMC HiDEF i.e. Bad HD Broadcasting |

| | Posted: | | | | Wondering with my American friends here who enjoy HD feeds either thru Cable or Dish- I was curious to know how your AMC HD feeds are? This network who brings you Madmen in Hidef are they true 16x9 presentations ? or are they upconverted SD broadcasts that are squeezed?

| | Posted: | | | | I'm on DirecTV and we don't get AMC in HD.  What I get is a non-anamorphic version of Mad Men (widescreen, but black bars on all four sides). It sucks. But I know I'll be getting the Blu-rays next summer, so it's not the end of the world. Next year I may just skip it altogether (unless we get AMC HD). | | Posted: | | | | AMC Canada is only feeding true HD for only so many hours a week, here in Canada. the rest of the week we get stretchovision and upconverted SD signals.. Shaw cable swears up and down that they only broadcast what is provided and AMC (canada) is being very stingy on their bandwidth for HD broadcast ..
