Hi everyone,

What i'm looking for is something to convert the database the DVD Profiler uses to a ODBC format. My end goal is to backup my DVD database then restore it in an application like MS Access which can then be imported to my BlackBerry storm. When I run the backup utility on DVD Profiler it creates a .dpb file which can't be read by an ODBC application. I've looked for an application online to do this but I can't find one. Sorry if this is the wrong section to be posting in.

Thanks!

As far a I know there is no way to directly access the database.

But DVD Profiler has the ability to export everything in your DB to XML, and it should be possible to import that into Access or directly into the Blackberry, depending on what format the BB needs.

The DVDP database already supports ODBC with the proper driver but it is encrypted.  As such, you can't query it.

Thanks a bunch folks! I'll try the XML, it's a dirty solution but it should work.

If it helps, my CCViewer imports the Profiler XML into an Access database.

See DJ Doena's signature for a link to some tools he has, one of which converts Profiler XML to an access database.
Thanks for your support.
