On quite a few contributions up for voting I've noticed that the 'new' data seems to be corrupted.... in one instance the entire crew had been replaced with the name of the director. In other cases a crew member's name (let's say, for example that of the DOP) has also appeared in the place of, say the composer's name. I doubt if this is the fault of the contributor, it seems to be a fault at invelos end.

Anybody else come across this? Has it already been discussed and I've missed it?

Just noticed the same.
Can't find any other topics on this. Actually seems to be a bug.

Just looked in a couple of my local profiles and the bug is replicated in there, it seems to have occurred during the restoration of the backup file. Just restored again from scratch and the profiles that were incorrect are now correct again. Not sure if it's happened in any other profiles.

I'm locking down and not accepting any updated profiles for a bit. Am going to check my local profiles for errors for a couple  of weeks and hopefully everything online will have settled down and you'll have all fought it out amongst yourselves; I really don't know why people are contributing updates at the moment - it's far too chaotic with us all just getting the initial contributions in the database.

It's possibly a need for a repair of the old database before importing. I know Voltaire had this issue locally with a few titles, one being 28 Days later, that imported ok for myself and Squirrel God. I haven't seen an updated from him to confirm the repair helped or not.

I did indeed have the problem... and have voted No to a few contributions where people hadn't noticed ...

What I did was re-import from a different backup (one without cover scans if that is important... it may be!) and they all got fixed by that.
Try doing a 2.4/2.5 backup without cover scans and re-import using 'selected profiles' (you can select all if you want or just the ones you haven't fixed manually before I found out as I did) and if it's like me it overwrites the bad data and leaves the covers intact.

Yep cover scans do seem to affect the import. If I do an import with them it lists 72 profiles as unconverted, with a profile only export/import I only get 50.
