| Posted: | | | | Hey Follks, I just got my new computer and tried to install DVD Profiler. I have Vista 64bit and a registered owner of DVD Profiler. It installed great, then when I went to restore my library using the online to computer option I got an "exeption error", after that it freezes and does nothing. When I close it and try to re-open DVD Pro it tells me the library is corrupted and needs to be fixed. It uses the database repair utility. I open it again and it tells me its still corrupted. I tried to run the program as admin and it still wont download the online database. Help! |

| Posted: | | | | Well its good to hear that it should be working on this computer. I would be lost without this program. Does anyone have any ideas why I am getting this error: Access Violation at Address 00A37106 in module 'dvdpro.exe'. Read of Address 00000008. Thanks everyone., |

| Posted: | | | | it may have nothing to do with the aspect that its vista 64, but to do with the fact that dvdpro crashed and has some remaining issues. That is the same thing i have on my system at the moment, which is xp. Same type of output, different address though (00AC3244 - thread "dvd Profiler wont start") |

| Posted: | | | | What happens if you create a new blank database and add some DVDs to it? Do you get the same errors?
Are you able to use backup and restore rather than downloading from online to transfer your collection? | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

| Posted: | | | | Gerri, I am unable to do the backup and restore. My laptop was stolen and that is the reason I am having to do it from my web database. I have tried to creat a new blank database and then after the program has loaded I can see all my movies, but there is no info for them. No actors, pictures. Just the titles. I tried to go online and update the info and pics and it starts to work then gives me a whole bunch of the above mentioned errors. Thanks for all the help folks. |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, if I start with a fresh install I can add new dvd's to my blank collection. I am tryin something another forum member suggested and downloaded the installation and before running it I did a right click and choose to install as administrator. I am going to try this and see what happens... |

| Posted: | | | | Well that didnt work, I got the same issue. Same address not readable. I really hope this doesnt mean that I have to enter all 800 dvd's by individually. That would suck....As far as my laptop, thanks Gerri. We were visiting a tourist spot here is Washington State called Deception Pass, when we came back to our van in the parking lot, our van had the window smashed in my daughters toys were thrown all over the floor. Seems they smashed the window, reached in and grabbed what ever they could. The being my laptop case, my daughters backpack with toys and medicine. It was a company laptop and I am on the job 24/7 so I had to have it with me. I guess this means you are not safe any where any more. |

| Posted: | | | | Wow. Sorry to hear about your loss.
I too, am running 64-bit with no problems. Windows 7 in fact. I would try uninstalling DVD Profiler, then re-installing it with Admin Priv. If that doesn't work, likely it is a compatability issue with either your Video Card. Or maybe your Laptops drivers...
My PC is compatible with the Game Far Cry 2, yet it is incompatible with the Laptop itself. Go Figure. |

| Posted: | | | | Meer, I was able to get it work by installing a fresh copy then adding a few fake genres before updating to the online database. It was a great solution and it worked. Thanks to the tech folks at Invelos. Thanks for the advice though. I appreciate it. David |
